On the post game interview Jerome James was asked if the Sonics gave the Spurs too much respect the 1st 2 games?Someone can explain it to me?
What did he do?
He responded "I dont respect the Spurs"
Well he found a way to make a load of money playing a freakin' game for a living. He must be moderately intelligent.

Too bad he is too stupid to know how stupid what he said was
You dont have to be smart to take a load of money to play a game.
Ummm, I think being 7'1 may have had something to do with thatWell he found a way to make a load of money playing a freakin' game for a living. He must be moderately intelligent
I believe he said something like: "It's gut check time. Time to back up all the back and forth talking. I don't give them no respect. None."
Well, I don't blame him for saying that.
How can you give respect to a team that gave up the exact same pick & roll for a dunk play 10 times by various players?
Kinda hard to have alot of respect after you execute the exact same play a dozen times.
I'm sure Spurs will use that for motivation.
On Sunday I want this clown knocked down.
I don't care what he says right now.
Everything will be shown in game 4.
Is he realy that tough?
Man if he will sign a big contract in a summer. He will change into a bigger version of Oliver Miller
Most studies have shown that athleticism and intelligence are related. Something to do with signal transduction and whatnot. I guess the same elements that make people fast and allow them to make split second decisions in a game make them better thinkers too. Which is contrary to the stereotype of the "dumb jock." Either way, I'll bet Jerome James is smarter that you![]()

he's 8ft tall 900lbs without a brain. they trained him to dunk and from what I last heard they taught him sign language and how to smoke cigarettes.
Typical myopic Texans. Nice first post, an ignorant blanket statement about a state full of people based on the posts of a few...a bunch of which aren't even Texans. Then again, you know we all think alike.
Dumbass.
Yeah, that had no racial undertones![]()
yeah...that wasn't discriminatory either.Typical myopic Texans.![]()
Point conceded. Except for the dumbass part. I should have said "myopic Spurs fans."
that would still be a blanket statement because you are implying all Spurs fans. I am not calling out James for his smack and I am a Spurs fan, therefore it cannot be all Spurs fans.
If you're trying to compare a playful dig at Texans to a genuinely racist statement (and by the way, I don't consider myself to be politically correct at all) then I really don't know what to tell ya, bub...
Well, Pop will probably do something stupid and sit Big Dog the rest of the series for getting Ted up tonight.
yep, the league is filled with geniuses. i bet marbury could have been a chemical engineer if the nba didn't come calling.
jerome james isn't even that athletic, dude. he's just big and benefited from some great passes and NO coverage.
not at all but a playful dig to you may be something else to someone else. To you, what 2cents said was racist...to someone else it might just be that James is dumb. Just because you or I interpret something one way, doesn't make it so.
I got my first degree in chE (before I decided that I didn't want to work for an oil company or a plastics company for the rest of my life), and I was surrounded by a lot of people who didn't seem that smart. And then they'd get a 95% on their thermo midterm. Looks can be deceiving.
, Marbury could be a genius for all we know.
lighten up. it was just playfull, a rihnosaurus just didn't seem as funny.
He is a big fat gorilla, I just felt like muckraking.
true. I know people with two degrees that have the common sense of a houseplant and people without degrees who are among the smartest I know. You can't judge a whole group of people by the actions of 1 or 2.Looks can be deceiving.
it's not the looks. i'm judging him by his actions and interviews. doesn't seem like a brilliant man to me. i could be wrong. guys like tim who form coherent sentences seem smart. marbury talking about how "we're on one level, we need to get to the next level, then one more, then like two more ..." .. eh, he doesn't seem like a genius.
