Now we have the dumb opinion.
Waiting for mavfan and his troll to point out what's incorrect about it.

so you're making his point for him even more? way to go, dip
Yeah, but mono's point was that they lucked out in getting Duncan. Which is true. But KG was in Minnesota forever and his front office screwed him. The Spurs surrounded Duncan with Parker and Ginobili in their primes with late round draft picks, and added some clutch role players: Kerr, Horry, S-Jax, Elie, etc. Plus they made some good trades and signings that worked at least in the short term. Mohammed for a washed up Rose. Finley for nothing. etc

That's the standard pro-Spurs argument right? That they succeeded in building a team around Duncan. You should be trying to punch holes in that argument. Mono's argument makes it sound like just drafting the franchise player is all that you have to do.

Excellent use of name calling though. My feelings were really hurt.

Duncan plays on the outside too much to be a true center. True centers are like Dwight Howard, Shaq, Tyson Chandler. Players who pretty much have both offensive and defensive games within 8 feet of the basket. Duncan can put the ball on the floor, face up, attack, pass and shoot. Plus Duncan used to be able to guard some guards and small forwards very effectively. His only center qualities are that he is 7 feet tall and has a good back to the basket game.
A dumbass who thinks mikan was 7 ft should stfu, imho.

Colangelo did nothing for the Suns that Sarver hasn't done. I don't mind him being on the top 5 worst list, but the Colangelo sucking like he was some sort of god-send owner is moronic. The only difference is Colangelo came off as an extremely personable nice guy while Sarver comes off as a miserly prick. If Colangelo was a spending win first owner like revisionist history says he was Phoenix was have the 9th overall pick this year.

Someone named badOdor is a ty poster imho.

And for the record, Mikan's playing height was close to 7 feet, he was 6'10" without shoes, and even if he was hardly any taller in whatever shoes he wore the difference of two inches is literally this much:

    _____

    _____

Why don't you tell us how they discovered new "measuring" technology, which didn't exist in mikan's playing days, which actually shows him to be 7 ft?

Why does Phila_Chamberlain love to defend big men who played in the 50's who would be D-leaguers in today's NBA? I can't wait to hear him slob Dolph Schayes's knob.

The truth is, some big men from the late 40's, 50's, and 60's would be less than D-Leaguers in today's NBA. Others would consistently produce, given similar upbringing and other psychological factors, of course. Mikan, Chamberlain, Russell are a few of em.

Though I agree Cuban is a pretty good owner. The best owner in the NBA is Jerry Buss by far.
