Juniors and seniors can also transfer.

If a player is going to be subject to a post season ban the rest of his eligibility, then he can transfer and play right away for another school without needing any type of release.

I could see some big time players using this as a reason to get on out of their.

Texas needs to take advantage of this over the next two years and start getting a pipeline with some CA blue chip recruits. If we can siphon off one or two top CA recruits a year and keep out Texas ties as strong along with the occassion OOS guys like Jordan Hicks and Westerman then we'll be even greater. Do your magic coach Boom.

Meh Texas doesn't need a CA pipeline, they'd be smarter to just focus more on not losing local recruits.

UA REALLY needs to take advantage of these two years now with SC ineligible before being placed in an impossible division with Oklahoma and Texas teams and at least make the Rose bowl. I'd love to see them win it, but it would be nice to have at least one pac-10 le before it becomes unwinnable.

Them along with schools like ASU are the ones who need to capitalize on blue chip CA recruits who woulda normally been scooped up by USC.

I agree, UCLA especially since their program seems to be on the rise anyway with the recruiting class they're bringing in.

Not so sure about Stanford. I don't think Harbaugh is long for that job. Stanford has a long history as a stepping-stone program for coaches- John Ralston, Bill Walsh, Dennis Green, Ty Willingham, et al. I think Harbaugh will either be back at Michigan or in the NFL within a few years.

Washington and UCLA stand to benefit the most here. Don't forget, U-Dub was arguably the premier football program in the Pac-10 in the '80s and '90s. And Arizona State can benefit too, if that sleeping giant ever wakes up.

Arizona State has been ty for the better part of a decade. Both UA's and ASU's high point in recent history is getting throttled in the Holiday bowl. They're not gonna benefit from this anymore than UA will, especially since Stoops albeit a ty coach is a good recruiter while Denis Erickson only shows up for work now to get a paycheck.

Now that I think about it, this is a really bad indication of how UA and ASU will play against the former big 12 schools that'll be in their division.

I am so happy this finally happened

This information came out during the Heisman race, but the media protected their darlings long enough to have Bush steal it.

The Heisman always belonged to vince, and now this validates that fact as much as Vince's dominance in the Rose Bowl did.

Now Pete the Cheat will fall face down again in the NFL where parity is the name of the game like he did before, for a "Re-Peat" performance.

These sanctions are not enough, the NCAA went too easy on them. They should have to forfeit the '04 co-championship and Auburn should have sole possession.

The USED Trojans made their bed. Now I want to see the train wreck of the next 5-6 years develop.

Texas might not need it, but it could become very important. It could become a fertile grounds for filling positions of weakness in Texas hs recruiting classes.

So there aren't any great linebacker prospects coming out of Texas hs this year? Raid one of the top Cali ones. Could be very lucrative if Texas plays it right these next two to three years while USC is getting nut punched.

don't really have anything else to say about it, the product on the field wouldn't have been any different...everyone knows what happened. what really is an injustice, is the 2 year bowl ban and scholarships loss...mind blowing.

Nice. The Lakers lose and SC gets bent over the table. Though every day as a Bruin is a good day.
