He made it to the Finals in New York, but they lost.

Then he built the Miami Heat from NOTHING to Championship contenders through the late 90's.

It took riley like 16? 17? 18? years ? to win another le.

He said he had to work really hard to build the right team, and that his Miami le was more special because it had been so long since he won a championship, and that this championship had a lot of blood sweat and tears in it, a long time coming.
