I realize that people like to act like they have any ing idea what his salary demands are but in essence what he is saying here is that he is willing to take less to play for a contender. IOW, you really have no clue.
Plus, he is very aggressive, he is a pro, and understands his role very well

Good option but no money
could not agree more, hes not soft what so ever.. and hes an excellent rebounder for his position.
1. Spurs don't have MLE money to offer Miller and talking about him signing for BAE or min is pathetic. (and for those who again start the: but but he wants to go to a contender, maybe he comes here for no money.... we just lost in the 2nd round. 0-4)
2. reportedly he is interested in going back to Orlando and they will be smart to sign him (for the MLE)
3. S&T almost never materialize and if they do, it about some star players. they never work around useless crap, Mason and Bonner won't be an exception. and never never never a team with cap space burns this to space to absord re signed dead meat from another team. that's even more pathetic than to think he might sign a min. contract. with the Spurs.
Miller is one of those bubble guys in this year's free agent crop. He won't command the full MLE this season due mainly to his age and the fact there are so many other quality FA's.There are about 3 times as many available players as there are teams with cap space and MLE slots. After all the big name FA's and 2nd tier FA's make their commitments, there just won't be many options left for players like Miller. If he's looking for big money, his best shot is to re-sign with his current team. Otherwise, he'll have no choice but to sign for the LLE, vet min, or try like for a S&T.
With the $$$ the Spurs will have to likely s out for Splitter, there will not be nearly enough to entice a player like Miller. I doubt he will be willing to settle for the LLE, which means the Spurs will be shopping in the "bargain basement bin" for players they can get at an extreme discount. Miller isn't one of those.
Perfect fit, but not enough money to sign him. Kind of like LeBron.
