I'd take Si and Johnny Moore over AJ any day.
It crossed my mind, but I couldn't resist bringing Manu off the bench.
I'd take Si and Johnny Moore over AJ any day.
But when you get into All-Time or All-NBA it's not about setting up the lineup to play a game, it's about putting the 5 best players on the board -- chemistry or usage plays no part.
The All-Time, All-Spurs First-Team should be:
C - Robinson
PF - Duncan
SF - Gervin
SG - Ginobili
PG - Parker
It was a joke. Here, smoke this.![]()
I've got my own.![]()
My hat is cooler than your rainbow wig.
I can't believe I used an emoticon . . .
Rainbow wig, I think your 's laced . . .
Yeah, I didn't take to kindly to the emoticon at first but it wears you down. Now it's just become a caricature of itself. The Omnipotent Blackjack has become a caricature of his self.
It's quite sad, really(notice the emoticon -- it's crack, man).
C - Mengke Bateer
PF - Malik Rose
SF - Damir Markota
SG - Ron Mercer
PG - Beno Udrih
Call him what you will, but he's First-Team with Manu.
And Markota was never a Spur. He was drafted for Milwaukee.
Besides, Uwe Blab owns Markota!
Gervin played the 3 with the Squires and then with the Spurs. Bass moved him to the 2 because Silas was hurt one year and they had no guards. He still used to go down to the baseline anyway.
Starting 5 should be Tony Manu Ice Tim and Robinson.
wheres nick the quick or mighty mouse...

Can't see how it could be any different.
Them's fightin' words![]()
Honestly with this lineup, I would move Parker to the bench and start Moore. Moore would be a better choice to feed Gervin, Robinson, Duncan, and Elliott.
Parker is more of a scorer than Moore and would do better off the bench. Parker has great chemistry with Manu and Bruce. Also, Gilmore and Bruce are not really there for offense. So Parker makes more sense with the second unit, as he, Manu, and mings can unleash on opposing defenses.
Actually, if you switch Bruce and Sean, each team has 4 legit scoring options.....as well as solid defense inside and out.
David
Duncan
Bowen
Gervin
Moore
Gilmore
mings
Elliott
Manu
Parker
Kenon
Horry
Mitc
Robertson
Johnson
Looks like a man who saw Captain Late in his prime. Anyone who believes AJ was better than Silas is just plain ignorant. And I'll take Si over TP anytime, and twice on Sunday.
Silas, Gervin, Horry, Duncan and Robinson (with Manu as Sixth Man). Now THAT is a team-oriented starting five. Reminds me of the '69-'70 Knicks.
I can't believe 2% have voted for Speedy Claxton as the best spur PG of all time...
It's not technically a vote for the best of all time. We asked people to vote for the best players (plural) at each position. In the original post we intimated that we would be using the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd all-team selections. People can vote for as many players as they want. That being said, he's not even top 5.
