Jake Sheilds vs Jake Ellenberger would be the most boring match ever. this card, it should be stricken from the predictions

I really don't understand what's so hard about looking at Okami's tapes and seeing how long his legs are compared to your smaller frame. Even if you are a good wrestler, why wouldn't you want to soften up his legs with kicks? The whole damn match Okami was begging to be leg-kicked and Munoz seemed to eager to waste time and energy going for takedowns.

Okama won by default, terrible fight

I was thinking he needed 2 more fights, but now I feel like they should pit him against the Rampage/Machida winner in February 2011...winner of that gets the next shot. Then again, this fight was over so quick and he's got no damage they might wanna set something up for him sooner with Forrest.

I was thinking the power is in his reach, but the power is in his legs because he get anyone off balance. Machida is the only guy I can see being as tactical and patient, it could be a great chess match.

I love the way you think Stringer.. Forrest is rumored to be back in Oct or Nov. Set this fight up UFC. This is the perfect step up for Bones into the elite of the division. If he beats Forrest easy, he has to get a le shot..

    Bones is just sick....

I think the only way he doesn't get Forrest is if the UFC doesn't want to hurt Forrest's mental game (he'd have lost 3 of his last 4 fights, assuming a loss to Bones). It makes a lot of sense considering where Forrest is still ranked in the company. It could be a great co-main event or even the main event for UFC 122/123

Agreed again about Forrest mental game and not wanting to mess with it maybe but this fight works in terms of scheduling and appeal. If Forrest can get healthy by Oct or Nov this is a fight that should get made. Jones needs a better test against a popular fighter.. Forrest would be the right fit.. He has a job in the UFC 4 life anyway.. And yes i think Bones crushes Forrest..

Djohn was on this guy for a while and he was dead on.. Bones is a killer..

Actually, I thought Okami/Munoz and Gomi/Griffin were the only two decent fights. Ellenberger/Howard sucked, that was a bad fight and so was the main event. Matyushenko's washed up and is a step down from Brandon Vera. When is Bones gonna step up in compe ion? And the fight itself was terrible anyways, he took him down like nothing, passed to side mount, crucifix, elbows, game, set, match. Wow. I mean, I'm not going to complain about the show, I enjoyed it and it gave us two good fights imo, can't ask more out of free MMA, but I'm definitely looking forward to Saturday.

Too bad I might be going to Eli Young Band at Flore's which might cause me to miss the fights. Big Country/JDS has big implications for the HW division, I'm a fan of Matt Hughes and that should be an interesting fight, he's still game against most grapplers, just has a hard time these days with guys that are good strikers like Alves. Obviously guys like GSP too, but who doesn't have a hard time with his wrestling? And the main event is First Anderson Silva fight I've been interested in since Dan Henderson. Let's go Chael!

Edit: And don't give Bones Forrest, that's too easy for him. Forrest is too scrappy and isn't a good enough wrestler, give him Rashad, Rampage, Machida, one of those guys. THEN he can get a le shot if he wins. I think Shogun takes that fight though. Bones loses the standup battle and if he decides to take Shogun down he's not going to be able to walk for two weeks imo.

Page and Machida are fighting eachother in a few months and Shad and Bones are camp-mates so they won't fight right now.. Down the line they may have to though..

I forget he's a Greg Jackson guy. Ryan Bader just knocked out Keith Jardine, who's also a Greg Jackson teammate. Maybe they could work out a little revenge fight between Bader and Jones? Both of those guys are coming off of big wins in impressive fashion and look to be the future of the division. Winner gets the winner of Rampage/Machida. Winner of that gets a le fight.

Bader is set to fight Nog

No worries UFC will figure something out

The fights were good. I cannot complain.
Matyushenko was close to get out of the bad spot but Jones was too much and finished quick. Vlad also could take the pounding and try to survive and get out but it seemed he had NO chances so Big John stopped it. And wtf Big John in the UFC?

Gomi right on a chin! Griffin was pissed but ref had to stop it as Tyson was not defending himself and it looked like he was out.
    Gomi again in contention

    nice card

I read something about a week ago about Big John getting to work an upcoming UFC show, I don't know if it's because it was in California and he has a license to ref there or what.
