What's the big deal about this commercial? I don't watch much tv but I have a kid laying on the sofa recovering from wisdom tooth surgery with the tv on all day, and I've already seen the exact same "Rule the Air:the most powerful transmitter" spot twice, subs uting football players and guys in an office. The only point to this thread is an imaginary one.

The point is that a phone company has nothing to do with ending discrimination

Seriously, I'm all for equality. I have no problem at all with women making more money than I do or generally exceeding more in life than I might.

My problem with this commercial is that its all women talking about how their voices should be heard, as if we are still back in the 50's or something and women are supressed to wearing burkas or some . Give it a rest already. That has been played out in America for over 2 decades.

Like women are so supressed in America that they need a phone company to advocate their liberation in 2010.

    hence, made.

Why the did Verizon have to make a commercial with women talking about how they like to talk on the phone? That's not exactly a newsflash. Or text. All the women I know text way more than the guys I know. I can't really have a conversation at work with one of the girls without her phone going off at least 10 times.

Mine only really goes off when my babysitter is telling me about my kids or I have an email. Or a male coworker is calling me to check out the hot girl walking around. On a busy day I get tons of those.
