The same shtick, everytime. No wonder you think "calf tats" is funny.
Can you take your obsession with manny somewhere else please? This is a serious thread. You and your buddy calf tats are not welcome.

This is not a shtick. I open a thread looking for advice, and for some reason, your obsession forces you to post about how butt hurt you are about something I've said in a different thread. Is it really that hard to keep trolling to the appropriate threads, creationist? Was the abuse you took in the club the other day was not enough?
Hey hey hey alright, I know when my welcome is overstayed. No reason to get all asshurt Manny style.
Just a suggestion: maybe you should use the search option next time, dumbass![]()
Catch ya later, creationist. Don't come back unless you have something to contribute.
Bounce around Tiger Direct and see what they have. Good site. I saw a lot of good deals.
Slickdeals will usually have 5-6 laptops a week on a really good sale price.
Also, Best Buy offers 18 months no interest financing if you spend over $250 in store. Despite what some people say, they do offer extremely compe ive prices on their computers, especially laptops.
If you are going to try to play even a few games, go ahead and look for a laptop with a dedicated graphics card. This search should show a fair selection of what's available:

Thanks for the link chump, but those are a bit outside my price range. I'm really not thinking anything extreme here, just a bit of gaming, mostly with older games.
Here is a nice laptop I like so far:

Before you buy anything, you might want to take a look at this.

It's spectacular when these two and Leetonidas team up, they form the ultimate butthurt trio.
Oh and regarding laptops I have a mac and I'll never be buying a PC again but if you wanna do any gaming whatsoever don't buy a mac.
got my first laptop in 04 with a in 512mb RAM 60GB harddrive it also came with a memory stick that held a in 64megs
Got a new one in 08 which has now crapped out on me so im stuck using the old one again. I'm ever buying ACER again
The integrated video card means you won't be able to play anything that's remotely demanding as far as gaming goes. Basically forget about gaming if you pick that up.

I recently picked up this one, great machine, only complaint I have is the mouse pad, but I use a wireless mouse anyways, so it's no big deal to me

That's a great deal on a laptop, but it's still really low on the graphics totem pole.
fixed, something with google chrome wasn't allowing me to copy/paste correctly, had to use firefox
Uh, that's more expensive than the first four laptops listed in that search when you consider rebates and taxes, and the graphics chip on that Sony sucks.
I was actually surprised those laptops with dedicated graphics were available as low as $600. Might have to break down and get one.
Are those brands reliable though? I don't really know any of them.

I came upon the same laptop, the price is really nice but I don;t really want an AMD, rather i3 or i5.
You've never heard of Toshiba?
Acer makes a pretty decent computer. You can find models of that brand and several major retail outlets. I never had to use any support from them other than their website, which is pretty extensive.
Asus and MSI are well-known motherboard manufacturers.
In admit it's a little more dicey to buy a laptop online, but there aren't many laptops in that price range with good graphics at brick and mortar stores. If you find a retailer with a good return policy, you can send it back if there are any deal-breaking problems (getting to hot would be one for me these days).
My first laptop in 1998 was a toshiba and lasted for about 7 years (4 with me and then I sold it to a friend. I know he stopped using it about 3 years after that, but don't know what he did with it). I currently have had my Asus for about 2 and it is running strong. I also have a gateway and its battery died after about 2.5 years, but it is still running strong otherwise, my great-aunt is using it to pay her bills and such while staying in NV waiting for her husband to get heart surgery it is now 4.5 years old).
BTW I bought the asus because it was on clearance and I know they have been making quality video cards from my time when I built computers for people in the late 90s early 00s
I have a desktop that's 4 years old and still quick. It's running an AMD Athelon 64 dual core chip in it. I paid a lot of money but anything with Intel would have cost about $200-$300 more. Nothing wrong with AMD. I've even had some computer builders tell me the like AMD more. Personal preference I guess.
I used to love AMD when I was building computers, steered people away from Intel all of the time, but since the core2duo series Intel has been waxing the out of AMD (though admittedly, I haven't done a ton of research into the i-series). It's sad really, I liked the whole underdog thing, but at the end of the day value/dollar has to drive me.
