Their defense and cuckold playcalling cost them the game. The offense should revolve around Henne/Bess/Marshall.

Anybody looks like their carving up a defense when they're throwing to Marshall without Revis on him.

To be fair Brady was throwing to Moss without Revis on him and didn't carve up .

They should dump the wildcat outside of the RZ.

Henne was in a rhythm and he kept getting yanked for stupid reverses and even ing stupider double reverses.

    Not smaht.

Yup, Miami needs to get rid of the wildcuck if they're gonna be a legit team.

If they were to get a legit deep threat opposite Marshall and move Bess to the slot their passing game would be even better. They don't really have a guy to stretch the field. You need a good passing game in the NFL these days, they might as well make themselves a pass first team.

Both look good. I'd probably take Henne.

Henne or Sanchez? Henne, but I think both would struggle mightily with average to below average OLs.

The pass pro and blitz pickups tonight were amazing by both teams.

They both take well too long to analyze and get rid of the ball. Something that can be fixed, though.

    They're both garbage, TBH..

At least Sanchez has sex/marketing appeal, TBH..

    Coming from the Teblow fan

At least they both can actually be used as pocket quarterbacks in the NFL.

  14. #39
I'm only a Tebow fan because he plays for my team..I don't think he's a starting QB in the NFL right now..he's still The Messiah though..

It doesn't change the fact that Sanchez and Henne are average QBs at best, at least IMO..

  15. #40
God only knows what an average QB is when you've anointed someone who isn't an NFL starter the "mile high messiah".

  16. #41
Yeah what the was that bull . The redzone play calling blows, and the constant wildcat after Henne goes on a roll makes no sense either.

Henne/Bess/Marshall is a good passing game. They should have looked at Bess on that last play
I agree....they need to know WHEN to use the wildcat! I'm not a Henning fan-especially tonight!

Things that cost the Dolphins the game were the missed INT opportunities, the kick out of bounds by Carpenter, the blocked punt, Jason Allen slipping in the dirt and blown coverages twice against Keller and Edwards. Most of the mistakes were by the defense, but the play calling was very bad as usual while in rythym. Just play regular football and quite with the trickery. I really didnt see much pressure on Sanchez either, seemed like he just had too much time...no sacks.

Well did you see Henne pick apart the "amazing" jets defense tonight?

Brady couldn't do that last weekend.
Well lets clear a few things up...

Brady was on the road, Henne was at home. While Miami's playcalling sucked, New England's play calling was worse, they completely abandoned the run and Brady was forced to try and throw on a team dropping 8 into coverage. Henne meanwhile at least got to utilize play action and got the Jets to keep guys at the line of scrimmage to stop Brown, and in addition had his O-line picking up blitzes perfectly. It's a lot harder to pick defenses apart when you have Ben Jarvus Green got at running back who can't even pick up 3 yards when the Jets only rush 3.

PS - Are you still not worried about Miami having a pass rush without Porter, Taylor and w/o Starks at DE?

Regarding Brown, the running back by committee approach has gotten way out of hand imo. It's smart to have a starter who is in on 1st and 2nd down, with a backup/change of pace guy in on 3rd downs and obvious passing downs, or a main guy + a goalline/short yardage guy, but that's it. Now teams are getting stupid with these 3-4 man backfields that alternate between backs every series and make it impossible for any running back to get in a rhythm. You should have someone get 60+% of the team's carries, there shouldn't be a 40/40/20 split.

Call the Jets O-line beast all you want, but they got pressure on Sanchez last year when the Jets O-line was even better w/ Faneca, not only did they not get any sacks yesterday they only hit Sanchez once. I understand they wanted to go young on defense so they cut Porter and Taylor, but there's no way they have the 3rd most sacks again this year.

This. Sanchize is dropping some major loads after losing to the le birds in the opener. Also imagine how much better Dustin Keller would be if he had a real QB throwing to him. I like Sanchez and the Jets have put a good team around him, but they could have done this with any number of other QBs and probably ran just as good an offense if not better. If Sanchez can really grow into a veteran QB then it really doesn't matter but he just comes off as a bicurious frat boy to me and I don't trust him to become great.
