Not done with it yet... but I think it's bigger than F3...
TBH, I would give it a 9/10 right now...
It officially comes out tomorrow, I reserved this for my PS3, I'm too scared to buy it for my ty 360...3 broken Xbox 360's, all perfectly taken care of, I'm not taking any more chances. The last game my 360 got the RROD from was Oblivion.
The graphics look alright I guess, I just hope the storyline is good.

Man, THIS GAME!
These graphics suck , holy I can't believe Fallout 3 actually has better graphics than this.
I just can't play it, I don't normally complain about graphics but c'mon, these are like xbox 1/ps2 quality graphics. I'm used to playing games like ME2, GOW 1&2, MW2, etc.
If you guys hate games with ty graphics don't waste your money on this. This pisses me off, 2 years and the graphics get en worse![]()
Graphics look fine to me.
Playing on a PC with max settings.
So is it worth getting if you over fallout 3?
So far, I think so but I have barely got out of the starting town area.
Playing in Hardcore mode right now, its pretty challenging.
The graphics are exactly the same as FO3. In fact, just about everything is the same. So far there hasn't been a single thing to distinguish New Vegas from FO3, for what that's worth.
The sky is prettier.
Crafting is better, the AI seems smarter as well.
Besides that and a few more minor things (like the companion wheel and factions) its basically Fallout 3.
To be fair though, they never said this was Fallout 4.
Lots of bugs in the game... check this one out.
It's the exact same engine.
Take it easy bro.
Just a small hint.... If you want lots of caps without cheating... start your character with 10 luck.
Use that one perk to raise your other stats if you feel like it.... cant remember what its called.
10 Luck will let you run the out of the blackjack tables like no ones business. I decided to do this with my first character (Vegas Baby!!!!). It was a pain in the ass to begin with, but finally reaching New Vegas, I am already banned from gambling in 3 casinos and have made around 30,000 caps off of them alone!
Luck has a HUGE role in New Vegas.
im all fallout'd. its basically a humongous dlc of F3. i like it but there is really no story. i hate how weak i am again.
Luck has a much bigger role in games than people ever suspect. Luck is especially important for drops and looting in most relevant games, but a high luck will usually give you awesome criticals and better quests/payoffs, as well.
OK, so I just got banned from a 4th casino... I went into New Vegas with the credit check of 2000 (I had about 2300 or so)...... I now have 37,352 caps.
I think there are a few other casinos I can hit, not sure.
how do you get banned?
yeah. I wish they would have done something like Mass Effect where you could import your character info from Fallout 3 and the events that happened in D.C. were brought up at least a little bit in the dialog and effected how factions and react. Not saying it had to be revolved around one character, would just be cool to play a new character and at least hear about events that happened in DC and the responses reflected what happened there.
One thing I plan to do after I play through it without cheating is using the console command on a new game to recreate my character from Fallout 3 with maybe a different perk or two.

I found 4 vaults so far. I don't recall if F3 had that many.
Weapons are underwhelming so far. There's a new weapon in mint condition in the Robco facility that I'm using now, and I was using a pistol named 'That gun' previous to that, but I still miss the alien gun from F3.
I also hooked up with the BOS and have their armor, but I can't find where to train to use it yet.
Roaming on the wasteland is fun though. Anybody has any other companion besides Boomer?
There's 4 on the Strip IIRC, and another one in Freeside.
I have ED-E as a companion. an advanced eye-robot similar to the ones that roamed around in FA3 spouting propaganda. There is a quest for him that requires certain key words. Apparently you have to visit certain places to unlock them.
Having him as your companion grants you a huge extended range for detecting enemies. He is located in Primm and you have to repair him using Science and some spare parts. If I remember right, you need 55 science, 2 scrap metal, 2 sensors and some electric scrap to get him fully functional, but I recall an option to repair him without the parts.... Not sure how effective he is without them.
I held off until I got the parts. Apparently, the quests allows you to upgrade him further but I dont know what to do after taking him to the first junk yard in the quest line. After that first part, I dont get a marker for the next part.
Caps go very fast on this game though. I've made over 40,000 caps, and I've spent almost all of them at a hospital to soup myself up.
considering it took me all of 30 minutes to get from roughly 2000 caps to 40,000 caps, thats pretty damn quick money.
Cheaeting on the casino can only go so far. I still have the tops and white glove's to rob. After that, no more casino income.
It seems there are so many more side quests in this game than FO3's.
Yeah, there are tons, I've barely even scratched the surface just following the main quest.
So far my favorite is helping Jason Bright (Bright, LOL... You'll see if you havnt already) and his flock. That was a pretty sweet ending to a quest even though I HATED the back and fourth component gathering.
You playing in Hardcore mode Iron?

I'm very happy with the game, its definitely better than Fallout 3, so far no issues with bug or crashing, not a big deal in my opinion Obsidian they are really good at patching, they should have the game running smoothly in no time.
