Netflix going disc free to PS3 but more importantly 1080i and 5.1

No you're right. Not everything is available in 1080p in any format so the stuff that is out there and is 1080i is upconvereted for them to use at 1080p.

The episodes of BSG I've been watching have had some decent 5.1 but nothing that really has been mind blowing. Its streaming so having 5.1 at all makes me happy.

So far the quality is basically what you'd expect from digital cable but not blu ray. I think for streaming thats a damn good bar to meet.

mmm to me it already beats my cable HD signal. Not quite bluray yet but close.

BTW netflix posts earnings. 20 million subscribers. Shoulda bought the stock when I had the chance.
