I love Pop, but I have to admit that the notion of trying to "shoe horn" RJ into a position that he had rarely played, and one that he was clearly uncomfortable with was short-sighted. Especially considering the fact that RJ was clearly struggling to adjust to the Spurs style to begin with and not playing well - it just made no sense. In fact, it only complicated matters.
I have a better suggestion for Pop - sometimes it's not good to muddy the water. There's something to be said for players that fit a particular profile, that possess certain skill sets and are productive at certain positions.
