Over or under 1% chance these players eventually play for the Spurs?
1st round: Dominique Archie
2nd round: Lance Thomas
3rd round: Josh Young
4th round: Garrett Williamson
Toros' top 4 picks are all rookies. I guess it show that Toros focus is still to try to develop young players.
They also look very thin at PG. Hopefully, Temple will be sent down to Austin.

Probably under. The only thing I see is Archie could be a bit of a wild card coming off that injury.
I thought Marcus Hubbard didn't make it out of the Toros camp last season. Weird if they drafted him again after that.
Nice pickup in Round 8 if Scooter McFadgon can still play like he did the last time he was in the D-League.

Maybe they fear/think that he will go back in Europe soon.
Aside the wish to develop young players, going with college players limit the risk to see them leaving the team in the middle of the year. Overseas teams rarely spend significant amount of money on college players.

Separate from the hoopla of Tiago Splitter’s debut for the San Antonio Spurs last night against the Los Angeles Clippers, San Antonio’s farm team filled out their training camp roster with the NBA D-League Draft.
The Austin Toros had the 14th pick in the first round of the draft and selected small forward Dominique Archie from South Carolina. Via the press release:
