OKC is overrated. Utah is just a better team.

Jeff Green is indeed a SF material and he's only forced to play PF a lot because of Kevin Durant. Jeff is not as good as durant for sure, but he isn't far off durant's standard either.
Is this a joke? He is like a poor man's Aldridge, and that is not a good thing.

Jeff Green isn't close to Durant in any way..he's a stretch 4 that can't shoot on a consistent basis, which severely limits his ability..

Also, Kirilenko was actually really good at defending 1 on 1 last year, opponents shot 35% against him..

^DWill regularly rapes CP3 in head to head matchups too.
You can make the argument that D-Will is better, I just thought it was funny that you pointed to this game as an argument..

Durant is shooting 36% from the field in these first 2.5 games..at least he draws a massive amount of FTs..

If OKC would not have butchered their draft picks (Jeff Green over Noah, Harden over Curry/Tyreke, Cole...) they would be in a much better spot.

Jeff Green is pretty bad, like DPG said, he's a poor man's Lamarcus Alderidge. He won't be an allstar in the future. He has the Antoine Walker mentality when it comes to 3's. He doesn't shoot as much, but he actually thinks he can make them when he's better suited shooting the 2.

Agreed. But i give them credit for looking at fit rather than just drafting talent, like the Clips usd to and the Blazers do now.

LOL at BR and the like saying Utah would get railroaded. sloan is a great coach and Dwill will not allow this team to go 0-3 without a fight. Game far from over but those burying Jazz were pre-mature.

You should only draft for fit when the talent between two players is close. If not, you draft for talent.

If they would have had Curry and he was not a great fit, they could quite easily trade him for a player of equal talent but better fit.

I agree to a point. you don't take a project like milicic over Melo because you have Prince, because Melo is the best player out of all 3. That makes no sense. But I get why the Pistons didnt take Wade with Rip and chauncey in the fold becaue who knew Wade would be THIS good and you already had 2 guards who needed the rock and you just won a le.

My point was more like how before the recent moves the Blazers had a bunch of talent that was all similar: Batum, Outlaw, rudy, Roy bayless and Webster. that made no sense. yes they had the best young talent on their bench but they needed some role guys and players that complemented each other. Yes you can trade, but you dont always have leverage. Also how can any of these guys develop without minutes? Now look at Batum, blossom look at the niche Bayless has carved in NOLA ...The game is basketball not fantasy too much talent can be detrimental ... without well defined roles.
My guess Blazers have their best year now that they let some of that redudant talent go ...

Durant's cool. The ex-sonics are a cool team. I like them as an organization. But their dumbass, wannabe Texan, hillbilly, Okie fans, are idiots.

Congrats to the Jazz getting off the "snide" ...

the Mighty thunder with a big loss at home. Those ready to crown OKC 2nd best in West and durant as MVP ...not so fast my friend. i hate to admit this but Roy and paul look like stronger candidates than durant at this point but it is VERY early.

i think the team with 2nd best record in the East or West their star player will have best shot at MVP. I think howard in the East and Roy, Durant and Paul will be the contenders in the West. Unless Lebron does enogh to get it despite the superfriends at his side ...

OKC's lack of an inside presence is exactly why I consider them pretenders. They're not going anywhere until they address that problem. No West teams are going anywhere until they have a frontline that can battle the likes of Gasol, Bynum and Odom. Too much size and length for those midget West teams to compete.
