Dammit! Another freaking late game!!! Spurs> Sleep
good point. you are excused. best of luck to you and your suns![]()
always!
Tim needs to pound these fools. I hope he gets it going early.
In town for work and hitting the game tonight. Hopefully the Spurs kick some Suns ass! Love leaving the arena and hearing Suns fans whine.
Is it game time yet?![]()
SPLITTER! SPLITTER! SPLITTER! SPLITTER!!!![]()
Sucks about Hill, but excited to see extended minutes for Anderson and Neal. (Hopefully Splitter too.)
revenge!!!!!!!
How many of you all honestly think we can beat the Suns tonight? I want some answers, with good points.
I know we can, i just want some insight from everyone else.
Simple. We keep Nash and Dragic out of the paint, we will probably win.
I think the suns are too streaky. Nash is a year older + no Amare. If we play hard and contest 3s and jump shots then only luck can beat us.
I think this might be a good game for Blair and Timmy since there is no real resistance down low.
I think Lopez will crush Blair, Timmy has Warrick beat, and we have no perimeter D except for Splitter and i don't think he really counts does he?
taigo pick and roll defense is going to be really helpful in this game if he plays serious minutes.
Dex's Keys to the Game:
1) Post play - With Stoudemire gone, the Suns are officially thin up front. Lopez and Warrick will do their best in the post, but the buffet should be open for Duncan, Blair, and Splitter. They have to take advantage.
2) Perimeter defense - Spurs need to keep their rotations crisp and check the Suns shooters if they don't want to get burned from the arc. Suns will utilize a heavy dose of drive & dish offense, as well as the pick & roll.
3) Head of the Snake - Not only is Nash the engine that makes the Suns go, but he also loves to burn the Spurs with his jumper. With Hill on the mend, Neal/Temple will have their hands full when Parker is out or on the switch.
4) Turnovers - Spurs have been very turnover prone over the first three games, which I attribute to growing pains of new players and a new offense. They can afford these miscues with teams like the Clippers, but they saw against New Orleans what happens if you cough up the ball against quality compe ion.
If the Spurs can play efficiently and get good production from their bigs, I think they win this game. If the Spurs continue to turn the ball over and play sloppy, then I foresee a long night in the desert.
ROTATION! ROTATION! ROTATION!
Perimeter rotation is key. If we can check the 3-point shooters and not let them go ape on us, we will win. The Suns have never beat us by pounding the ball inside, especially with Amare gone.
Rotate on the perimeter, and stop Nash as best as you can. If Nash struggles, that entire Suns team can only do so well. Stick Nash, and rotate on the perimeter and we should win. I know its obvious but its true.
Tim Duncan and the Spurs are gonna roll in that town of Phoenix, Az, in dat No Limit Tank and show those faces How G's Ride, gonbe handin out ice cream like we straight re ed.
BET!
Spurs 109
PHX 100
How can we rotate on the perimeter? None of our guys are perimeter defenders, i don't think.
neal should be very comfortable with this up tempo game
honestly think we can beat the suns i would have doubted this game if amare were still there!
Sean Elliott for Governor!
