What's wrong with re-using the keys to a Game1 victory?

    Transition defense.
    3G defense
    pnr defense

    Pound it into Tim.
    drive drive drive
    keep hitting jumpers
I agree with this plan. Since their bench is weak, the Suns play defense As IF THEY HAD 4 fouls, letting the Spurs drive with little effort to stop them. The Suns have to play a flexible "defense" to keep their starting five on the floor. Stoudemire plays hard but, guess what, he gets into actual foul trouble. The Spurs should drive to the basket as often as possible and get Stoudemire in foul trouble and maybe Marion too.

you gotta make Amare shoot the ball
exactly force him to shoot 15 20 foot jump shots.

If he makes them more power to him, but more often than not, thats not a high percentage shot for him.

Also the Spurs gotta crash the boards a little better, I thought the game wouldnt have been that close, had the Spurs rebounded the ball better, Suns had WAYYYY too many second chances at the offensive end.

Also, I would do alot more penetration, I thought in the third quarter there was too much settling for open jumpers.

Everyone says how much the Suns can improve, the Spurs by far, did not play a FANTASTIC game.

    Good yeah, great?? no.

Keep getting the ball to Tim & if the Suns don't double him make them pay. If Suns do double then kick out like in Game #1 & have the perimeter shooters use the techniques they learned watching "How to hit the long range jumper" DVD by Manny S.

    Two things:

    1.)Parker needs more assists.

2.)Ginobili needs to get to the line.

I still think Parker can do more against Nash although 29 pts seemed to come from nowwhere. He hit some jumpers and seems to be more confident in his shot--but he pulled up numerous times when I thought he could have gone deeper into the paint and picked up a foul or a decent shot.

At any rate, if he neutralized Nash's point production by equaling it, Suns are in trouble. Our defense can do the job on everyone but Stodemaire.

Key#1: Match the intensity/energy of the first several minutes. Phoenix will be fired up from the start, and so will the crowd. Don't settle for early jumpers, which can lead to easy transition buckets on the other end. Attack the lane, which Phoenix will give you.

Key#2: Try to get Stoudamire in foul trouble early.

Key#3: Bench production must continue as in Game 1.

Key#4: DEFENSE. You can play it. They can't.

Really? The only botched call I saw was the blocking foul called on Barry that came a minute after Richardson drew a charging call on the other end of the floor by doing nearly the exact same thing. There was certainly some physical play that the refs let slide but I think that was pretty balanced. Certainly more so than it was at times in the last two series.
I don't know what ref did this, but the call that pissed me off was when Parker was called for an offensive foul for elbowing Nash as he defended, and then Nash did THE EXACT SAME THING MINUTES LATER, on the other end of the court, and there was NO CALL. I mean, it's one thing to call the game questionably, but you need to at least call it equally.

Spurs have to play as if they are down 0 - 1 instead of up 1 - 0 play as if its a must win game, you have to smell blood and go for the heart. Phx plays the same whether at home/road, if the spurs can head to SBC up 2-0 it would take a miracle for PHX to pull this series out.

keys to winning in game 2 are
    transition defense
    transition defense
    half court defense
Spurs bigs getting their hands UP on defense
    and defense
    BTW...did you mention transition defense?

The, IMHO is to withstand the initial push and energy the Suns will most surely come out with game 2.

I think I remember the plays you are talking about.

It was a different call. Parker extended his arm that is what the refs called.
Nash bumped Parker with his sholder/body and Parker fell/flopped and the refs didn't buy it. I understand you want the call for Parker but if he can bump and check Nash up the court then Nash can give him a little body bump too.
