Jason Garrett probably isn't the guy...even if he does show promise as a head coach, i'd rather have Cower as the HC next season.

And I love how LeBron is tweeting about the cowboys...calling them his team. That is a Yankees fan and a Cowboys fan.

what about s that are Spurs fans and Cowboys fans?

Should have happened weeks ago. The only thing that will help though is Jerry firing himself.

I think Gruden/Chucky is the most likely next coach. Just listening to him speak, it seems pretty clear that he wants to coach somewhere and he almost sounds like he has already been auditioning for the position from the broadcast booth.

Rumors were abound that JJ was talking to him earlier this season...I can only hope...he'd be my pick.

I'd rather have Cowher, but I'd settle for Chucky. He just seems the most likely at this point. Of course, by January that could change.

You make a good point. Those stupid Spurs fans should root for their local San Antonio NFL football team.

Why is everyone so enamored with Jon Gruden? He's only had two very good seasons...one more than Wade Phillips had. He also won a Super Bowl with Tony Dungy's team, and when he had to build one..they were mediocre.

He had one very good year in Oakland and one great year in Tampa Bay. Check his record and other than that he's been very mediocre. if you take away Wade's interim jobs, and this year...you basically have Jon Gruden's record as a coach minus the Super Bowl.

Watch Gruden coach and talk football and watch Wade coach and talk football...won't take much to understand the difference. One demands respect and is a disciplinarian and one is a powder puff...the Cowboys need one of the two...guess which one that is..

Cowboys should make Garrett the full-time HMFIC. Put him in a position where he's secure through this year AND can decide the fates of the guys playing under him. That's the best way to ensure the players show some effort and the team win some games and at least build toward next season.

Jon Gruden will get in the players faces and earn their respect. Total opposite of Phillips.
