Hated the incognito Italian stint he tried to keep up, even for the the mere short time it lasted.

Otherwise, Cubby's one a' my ST favorites...regardless of whether or not I can makes sense of all his posts.

It was like subconsciously I'd been so frightened by Kori that I took to the Daniel Day Lewis school of acting/I actually lived as an Italian xchange student 24/7. I didn't want to slip up and make a mistake. I shaved my legs, my ass, crammed my ass into a used Speedo I bought at the Goodwill and carried a book bag around on my shoulders.

Here's an oldie, but, a goodie:::

March 19, 1840 - Bexar Council House, Texas Republic: With cold fury, three government commissioners, several local ranchers, and a squad of Texas Militia gazed at the ravaged countenance of 16-year-old Matilda Lockhart, kidnapped years earlier and brought for ransom to the Bexar Peace Council by Penataka Comanche chief Maguara. Every inch of the girl's body bore bruises, sores, and scars from beatings and repeated burnings; Comanche squaws had seared her nose off all the way to bone remnants protruding from a ghastly hole in the center of her face. Asked by hard-eyed commissioners for 200 additional captives he'd promised to deliver on the council's opening day, Maguara stupidly demanded more blankets and ammunition in ransom, adding, "How do you like that answer?" as he returned to his seat. A heartbeat later, blazing militia guns shredded the entire Penataka delegation, leaving 65 Indians dead on the floor and declaring total war-with no quarter-until Comanche depredations on the Texas frontier ended forever.

    the internet forum

    boy writing weird poetry
the light of the screen shimmering in darkness
fingers tap lightly on the keys
the tapping stops for a brief moment
letting his mind drift away to thoughts of passion
suddenly he's startled back to reality
mom calls from the next room
    dinner is ready

Ha! I can't do much better, but I know good poetry when I see it. But heck, since we're all sharing bad poetry, might as well give it a whirl.

    Culburn's hairy arms
    Rest patiently on digital threads
    Waiting in the half-darkened room
    for signs of life

    His heartbeat quickens; he senses
    a young Spurfly, nervous
    frantically hiding himself
    beneath silk blankets

    And Giuseppe's arms delicately
Tap the guitar strings of webbing
    And Giuseppe's mandibles gently
    Pierce the warm skin
There ya go Culby I'll let you decide who you want the fly to be.

Eh, it's all about creating vivid sensory images.

As an aside, if you really want a good place to start figuring out if your poetry sucks or not, go to everypoet.org/pffa and go to the amateur section. You'll get a lot of good info. But I wouldn't post anything there... they're the most brutal mods I've ever seen.

Some people post generic "I was a flower, now I'm wilted" garbage, and the mods regularly say things like, "Read 1,000 more poems before you write another" and things of that nature.
