that reads to be about as much as jim rome as it does mark twain. terrible 'impersonation'.
From the guys I know on the team, the coaches let 'em enjoy the NU win Saturday night, then had 'em right back at the grindstone Sunday afternoon after church let out. The fans may have a bit of a hangover (I know I do lol), but the team itself has been focused on t.u. for a while now.

Ok. That makes sense. I simply can't imagine Rome completely blasting a school/fan base like that, complete with misinformation and inappropriate Bonfire jokes (that's usually about the time he hangs up on a caller).
Players seemed focus during the interviews yesterday, I don't think this team has lost sight of what they are trying to accomplish and the outside chance at the big12 championship still adds extra motivation (not that there needs to be any)
On another note, it looks like it might rain Thursday night and its going to be in the low 30's temperature wise. I'll admit that I havn't watched Texas play but a few quarters this season so I'm not to familiar with what there strengths are but if it ends up being those conditions than the team that can run the ball might be the team that's better off in the end.
if the wind inhibits the passing game that favors the aggies since UT has no running back worth a damn. a&m also likes to run the shorter routes and big receivers who are adept at running routes in the middle. but the weather will be interesting indeed.
one negative for sure against us: our punter sucks !!! and i can see him actually kicking for -yards if he has to kick into a stiff wind.
Definitely. Our punting game is just awful. It's to the point that we might as well go for it if were on their side of the 50.
Agreed. Epperson was horrid during the NU game. We simply can't have that if we hope to keep the sips from sniffing the endzone.
why do the fans need to stay focused? does it take intense concentration to sway back and forth shoulder to shoulder?
and whip your towels like youre whipping your boyfriend in the showers?
sounds like you have some experience there.
I've never seen that either...pretty funny. Of all the things on that list you guys really should stop the t u thing. It's not insulting to any Texas fan I've ever talked to and almost every fan of any team that I have explained it too gives me the same "well that's pretty stupid" look as soon as I'm finished.
considering that there are so many texas fans that never even went to the school it would seem to me that most of the a&m insults geared towards the longhorns would not really be insulting at all (since so many of them have to do with the school or school's traditions or past).
Why should we stop it if its not insulting? If you don't care about it then why do you care if we continue it or not?
"and almost every fan of any team that I have explained it too"
Implying that you do care about it enough to talk about it with fans from other teams.
seriously though, the longhorns will destroy m&a.
whys that?
tsip brain having a hard time coming up with a coherent answer![]()
The tsip thing and tu thing and aggie jokes, etc. have been going on for decades. If it really bothers you or if you really feel somehow like you are actually hurting the other side somehow by doing those things....then you are beyond help. It's like the t-shirt thing which is apparently nationwide because I hear it up here too. If you are going to take hearing it or saying it seriously...then maybe you're not grown up enough for college football....go back to intramurals, brother!

agreed. most students of both schools just engage in it for the fun. the ones who really do not get it are usually the ones that are not acquainted with the dynamics between the universities such as non-students or alumni.
true. It makes mewhen you have tons of people on both sides drop the "we" and "us" cards when they haven't set foot on either campus. I'm not one of those ignorant assholes who think you can only root for a school if you went there but, we and us? really?

I don't. Carry on if you want. I am just the messenger.
It's not like it's the first thing I bring up when A&M rivalry is discussed, but it does come up occasionally...and I usually get the response I mentioned."and almost every fan of any team that I have explained it too"
Implying that you do care about it enough to talk about it with fans from other teams.
+1
Never in my life have I seen a Longhorn be genuinely insulted by the "teasip" thing, and I'll be the first one to laugh at an Aggie joke. Usually if you have to explain it to someone who's disgruntled by it, they're a T-shirt fan (don't look at me like that, Ags, we have our t-shirt fans, too lol) or just immature.
Oh gotcha,![]()
...I will be at this game, as well. hard to see anything but a close game; hope I'm wrong.
I just want to say... yourself t.u. fan. Suck a . That is all.
