Yeah, that's true. But do you really think they're going to stay on a 44-win pace the entire season?

Will they stay on a 44 win pace? No, but that's not really the point is it? The point is that there are fundamental flaws with the way this team is constructed. Contrary to what the spin out of Miami has been, these aren't just a couple minor problems that are part of some esoteric "process". The problems that the Heat have are very real and they aren't going to get better any time soon. That fact is that Wade and LeBron are redundant pieces. Both of their entire games are predicated upon having the ball in their hands. This is the way they have played their entire lives and it's how they HAVE to play if they're going to be the players everyone is used to them being. We've already seen the effects this has had this season. LeBron does his thing, Wade stands around. Wade does his thing, LeBron stands around. One of them leaves the game and the Heat immediately play better.


When you combine that with terrible interior defense and rebounding, no depth and bad PG play, they are in a world of . Unlike most of the children in the NBA forum, you should be old enough to know that nobody is winning a le with the kind of interior defense that they have. NOBODY.

I'm not saying they're winning the le because they're not (IMO.)

But there's a difference between not being a legit le contender and being low-seeded first-round fodder, which is the way the Heat are playing right now. You can be roadkill for the real le contenders and still win 55 games if you've got a superstar or two on your roster.

Just look at the Cavaliers teams from '07 and '08. They weren't legit contenders but they were still good enough to win 50 games simply because they had LeBron.

I'm just saying that at some point Miami is going to get hot and reel off a bunch of wins. No way they play like this all season.

C'mon, everybody loves it when the Lakers struggle. Only difference until it was the Heat those people thought they were endowed, en led to take that joy because it was the Lakers. It's kinda like that now with the Heat. People again think it's permissable to revel in the Heat misery.
