BR, you can always hop on the Lakers bandwagon like most of these "fans" here...don't worry, in 2 years, we won't be surprised if you stop posting...its tradition for Laker fans to not post when their team doesn't make the playoffs tbh.

Actually the Hornets team name would work perfectly here with the loads of navy, army and marines we got.
As much as I would like to see them in Seattle, it's not going to happen.
As stated, Key Arena is not "NBA ready" & needs major renovations.
Seattle blew their wad on Safeco & Qwest field.
As for surrounding areas or suburbs of Seattle, no one in the burbs wants to pay for it.
actually , steve ballmer , a microsoft guy who is a huge sonics fan, he just recently sold some stock and got 2 billion in his pocket. he said he wants to bring a team back to seattle.
he can go build a super arena in seattle area in no time if he can purchase the hornets.
