Not like Spurs were trying to use Splitter anyway.
Oh, well. Get better soon Splitter hopefully you will have a much better second year.
You're correct. The adductor pulls together, and the abductor pulls outward. I have a mental block on those two. Always have. A lot of people seem to.
I think they called it abductor. I assume it is the adductor (the one that pulls the legs together) because of where the knee hit him. Regardless of what they called it.

5, maybe 6 inches??
Splitter is our future, it's obvious. All these " Pop" posts are bull , because we added him not for only this year.
Splitter is not an alternaive of Bonner, because his mid-range jumpers are not a threat for opponents and he can't shoot three. Splitter is an alternative for McDyess and when McDyess will retire next year he will get his place. But he also should improve his mid-range jumps.
That's why if you're going to Pop, you should do it for playing McDyess instead of Splitter. If you're OK with McDyess, then you shouldn't Pop.

Seriously guys.. its sucks to be 21-3...
queue the "champions of december" posters...
Too bad Pop didn't get him very many minutes.....![]()
a brazilian losing his manhood is a more serious injury that may seem. Let's hope Tiago can recover someday.
haha that Boise State chick looks ing stoked to be rocking that cowbell. I'd never seen that, thanks for a good early morning laugh.
Ian Mahinmi Redux?
actually, tiago might have played this evening due to his familiarity with nene. and he was set to play some of that 3rd quarter last night, in addition to what he had played in the 2nd, when pop noticed him lagging on plays. that is why he had dice off the bench and was calling for one of the spurs to commit an intentional foul in order to stop play.

Decent explanation for you "non-professional types"! (only joking as even sport medicine trained docs need to review this area such as myself from time to time) Based on the type of injury received it is more likely to be a Grade I to Grade II tear of one of the adductors than the abductors but is is possible to tear multiple muscles but if that happened he and the Spurs are in for a long rehab.

the question is how serious a contusion it is.
What Monroe does during the game?
So who was the guy with the #22 in the 3rd quarter????Rookie center Tiago Splitter suffered a right adductor contusion when he was kneed in the right groin area as he jumped to defend a drive to the basket by Ersan Ilyasova with 2:56 remaining in the second quarter.
He did not play in the second half.
Splitter took it in the Splitter.
Sounds like a Splitter-type of injury to me.
Is there a video of the play anywhere?
With all this hype over splitter... Should I plan on getting to actually see this guy play some real minutes this season...
