Rose and Barry combo is appalling.
Barry's not too horrible, maybe when he tries to be charismatic he is, but what he says isnt always wrong... Rose on the other hand, is a class A re .

manu comes off the bench because then its manu vs the other team's bench

which = manu ing ownage all over the scrubs

its how spurs have rolled for forever. starting lineup is just that, the players that start the game on the floor. being a "starter" on spurs doesn't really mean what it does elsewhere.

John Barry is the Trent Dilfer of NBA commentating
I like Dilfer's commentary. Always informative, and he has a ring.

I can't listen to ESPN's garbage pre & halftime shows. It's all read straight off a teleprompter. It's so contrived it's awful. I do, however, enjoy Breen, Van Gundy, and even a little of Mark Jackson.

Mark did say yesterday like 10 times the Spurs should have 3 All-Stars.

    Think about it guys.
Most of these NBA so-called "experts" never won an NBA finals. Look at Barkley, Rose, K. Smith, Legler, M. Jackson, etc. Now if my memory serves me well, they never won an NBA crown, yet they claim to know what it takes to become a champion? Come on, really?
Its just like an NBA great who retires and becomes an NBA head coach, thinking they know how to coach a bad team to become a winner and win a championship.

    Does this make sense?

In short, ignore the underachieving so-called NBA TV experts and just live by the 37-6 record that is dominating the league.

Rose is one of those commentators who is biased against non-American players. There are several.

I don't take any commentator without a ring all that serious.
Example: Chris Weber - Kept saying last week on TNT's broadcast that the Spurs had the second best record in the league... really? You don't even look at the standings as an analyst? I love TNT but they got it wrong with Weber. How long have the spurs had the best record this year?

Yeah, I don't even watch those stupid ESPN Halftime shows, but any time I may catch some of it, I notice how re ed Jalen Rose is.

Yeah, I should start doing this. The only guy who I think really gets it that didn't win a ring is Charles Barkley, and even he has said some stupid things recently.

You don't have to win a ring to have a general sense of what it takes to be a championship team. Textbook "tu quoque" fallacy/appeal to hypocrisy.

Jalen Rose looks re ed and i'm pretty sure he is. one of the first things he said this year was "now that the Spurs aren't contenders..." he said something like that at the start of the season when SA was on ESPN. he's just re ed and he probably had to suck someone's to get that job.

this is the scene that i think about whenever i hear that guy speak:

Switch camera to re ed guy saying "Hey, that aint cool. Give us some credit. We're not that slow."

When I heard Jalen's comment about Ginobili now making it to the starting lineup I immediately thought he had no clue." He said it as if Manu was never capable of starting and finally cracked the starting lineup. WTH?
