That stat doesn't account for the offensive foul calls and other various calls that the Lakers get in their favor consistently. (Not to mention the travels and other Kobe gets away with on a consistent basis).

It has always amazed me that Tony gets most of his points driving into the lane among all the bigs and gets so few FTs per layup attempt.

For that to happen he has to be the most amazing contortionist in the world since he must have the ability to curl his body away from the defending bigs.
