Would have to run a ballistics test. There were 5 cops shooting at him.

This was a suicide by cop incident. He was wanted for numerous things.

Little info about the now-dead assailant.

He kidnapped a 14 yr old girl 10 days (or so), used her as a sex slave and somehow he got wind of the fact that the cops had a search warrant for his residence where he kept his victim.

So he chained her to a toilet and left with his shotgun to go storm the precinct.

Pretty obvious by the video that the guy was... When he jumped the counter and walked behind the desk, he had a cop laying face down with his hands behind his head not 6 ft in front of him and he didnt execute him. My guess is that he was using birdshot or some other weak-ass buckshot because if he was shooting 00 buckshot, you dont survive at that range. It'll tear your arm off even if he didnt aim and you'll bleed to death in minutes. Obviously, it wasnt slug either.

It was suicide by cop and that thing that walked into the police station with a shotgun was the lowest form of life on the planet. Like others said, its too bad you didnt get to see him die in a more visual, painful way. I would have smiled at his screams.
