These are the WORLD-CHAMPION LAKERS we're talking about here. Not some scrub one-off champion, these are back-to-back champs and 3-time Finalists. They have EARNED the right to take it easy during the regular season. This team has accomplished what no San Antonio team has ever done, don't ing talk to me about the Lakers being dead. Your franchise is basically one foot out the door after this short-lived regular season burst is done.
Now, back to the topic at hand. Are the Lakers playing like e? Sure. It's the regular season though and nobody really cares. Phil doesn't care, Kobe doesn't really care, Laker fans don't care. Because we know when the playoffs roll around this team will be READY TO GO and kick it into that next gear.
They are more than capable of winning on the road, they've closed out a TON of series on the road in the last few years so it's not that important that they get HCA all the way.
