    Slow to the trigger again...
Feel like I could throw it in from half court today. Just one of those days, I guess.

You and the rest of the crew can go back to dominating me on the news-posting now. This dog just had his day (2 posts).

James Anderson is still assigned to the Toros, but he's here for tonight's game. Working out w/ #Spurs coaches at pre-game shootaround.

Anderson will not be in uniform or on the active roster tonight.

Somewhere, back in the corner, Larry Owens is doing the chicken dance.

WTF? He could have easily played a noon Toro game and gotten up here for the game tonight. Why would they pass on the opportunity for him to get floor time?

Seems odd. My guess was that they were planning on sitting Neal so they told JA to come back home but now that Neal is good to go they slowed the process down again.

Correction, James Anderson will be in uniform tonight. #Spurs

As the press release was sent out after I tweeted that he was here but wouldn't play.

Coach Pop said that they wanted Anderson here to provide cover in the rotation. But Pop doesn't anticipate playing him much, if at all.

James Anderson recalled to Spurs, at least for tonight. Pop says he's here for "insurance purposes" with Neal gimpy, won't be in rotation.

This seems to be the most logical explanation, given the latest from @aamcneill48MoH

It really doesn't matter. He wasn't getting any kind of real minutes regardless.

I wonder if this means Larry Owens will some meaningful minutes. I know they can make lineups without a backup SF, but why not using him considering he's available?

If Anderson plays, we'll likely know within a week or two whether he can have an NBA career. :fingerscrossed

I'm talking about the potential for chronic injury, knucklehead.

Why would there be any potential for chronic injury?

I can't remember any guards with that problem.

"It felt real good just to be back playing,” Anderson said. “Any time I’m on the court, I’m just embracing it. It was after a long night, but it felt good just to be out there for those couple of minutes and be part of the team.”

..."I got good minutes and got my conditioning up,” he said.

“It was a good deal all over. The real conditioning will still have to come, and it will, sooner or later.”

Glad to see that he played last night! Not much talk about it.
