I felt better about Battier before watching him in that game and before reading this article. Furthermore, I'd fear a Battier acquisition would impede the upward trend in James Anderson's game.

I have always thought Battier was a good defender, but the last few times I've seen him, and I saw him in person with good seats not that long ago in Portland, he hasn't looked like a great defensive player.
Was he always overrated? I don't know. But the player he is right now is a ?????? in terms of whether he's good enough to make a differenece.
bonner isn't an expiring so i doubt the rockets will want him.
Battier is over-rated, a so-called stopper who's not very good at stopping anyone.

battier not a great one-on-one stopper but he could glue up team's defense. hes da best defensive in helping defense imo. ain't great as da prime bruce but still one of the top defenders in todays league tbqh

i wouldn't give anyone up on the spurs because i think we can beat any team if we turn it up to 100%. we have such good team chemistry, a trade now could it all up.
