    Iran's revolution was directly related to the CIA overthrowing the democratically elected leadership in the early 50s, as Iran voted to quit being a oil colony/victim of US/UK oilcos. Carter had nothing to do with it. America, even a Repug saint, couldn't have stopped that revolution.
