Exactly.
28 games to go, the Spurs have five less losses than the Celtics and Heat and seven less losses than the Lakers. Now is not the time to let up. Obviously, in games like the one we just witnessed, it makes sense to play the big three and McDyess as little as possible, but overall, if it takes playing Ginobili more 32-34 minute games in the next 20-25 than they'd like, so be it. Just do what it takes (within' reason) to get home court locked up as soon as possible, then the big three and McDyess can take the last few games off and rest up for the playoffs.

TP is shooting the 3s better than Manu this year... Manu has more points because early in the season the refs were giving him a ton of FTs that he's not getting any more, and because he attempts (and misses) more 3s. He's a fan favorite because he talks ill-advised shots for 3.5 quarters and allows teams to come back into the game, then does some heroics in the last couple of minutes of a game. Ducks is right, if Manu wasn't chucking so much during the first 3 quarters (and especially the 3rd quarter) of any game, the Spurs wouldn't have so many close games.
That being said, he's been snubbed for the ASG for so long that it's good to see him go anyway.
So....trade Manu and Spurs will win theeasily...
Depends on who you get back.
Manu has played slightly better that is why he is the one going and not Parker. His stats are not that great. He doesn't make it if the spurs did not have the best record in the league.
Rofl @ Parker is shooting the 3 better. He's hardly taken any 3s so that percentage really isn't valid. If he was taking as many attempts I doubt he's still be at the same percentage as Manu. That isn't Parker's game so I don't expect him to, but you can't compare their 3 point shooting.
Well if it's all about stats then Manu should of never made it. There's a lot more guys who have even better stats then Manu.Manu has played slightly better that is why he is the one going and not Parker. His stats are not that great. He doesn't make it if the spurs did not have the best record in the league.
I donīt think this is a Slump by any means, he seems to really be trying to preserve his body a lot more now that we have such a big cushion on the conference and the NBA.
If you want Manu to play all out, against ty teams with 5 games advantage on the second best NBA team you are simply an idiot.
I expect him to come to play against chicago, and leave the ty teams to be "burned" by other players.
Ginobili is a big scenario player.
Manu just needs a break from making so many clutch plays. which requires a lot of energy
TP would have such a slump if he made clutch plays![]()
The all star game is stat driven. Most of the stars have the stats to back up their selection. Manu rode in by way of the spurs having the top record and Duncan by his all star resume from the past. Neither have the worthy all star numbers. The league needed to add at least 2 players from the top team.
Nothing to be too concerned about. Every player goes through a rough shooting stretch. He's not really hurting the team right now with his poor shooting.
