Even if Lakers hasn't played that well and they have some obvious weakness, especially at PG and SF, they should still be considered as the favorite to win the west. They have a lot of great players and have won the conference these past 3 years.
It's not really good news to see Lakers losing that kind of games just before the trade deadline. Even if they don't have good trade assets, these loses could push them to open their big wallet for a trade that improves their team.
all i know, is come playoff time, the Lakers will be a contender, and they will not go down without a fight.
