Even if our intel had been right, our leadership was defective. At the time, any evidence not conducive to GWB's obsession with going to war war with Iraq was discarded as erroneous or naive.

dubya certainly has/had serious emotional and intellectual defects and diseases, but the obsession with Iraq (oil) was pushed hard (dubya never pushed/achieved anything) by the Repugs, neo-cons, PNAC before SCOTUS elected dubya. dubya was just the useful idiot placeholder.

Rumsfeld says in his book, basically, Iraq was pushed by dubya, but Rumsfeld was a key member of PNAC.
You realize that under the rule of Saddam the majority of us AND our families would be killed for the political we post?
