It's funny that while the Lakers are a very good rebounding team, they do nearly all of their damage on offensive rebounds. (Doubly ironic that the Spurs beat the Lakers on a series of offensive rebounds)

Actually, that last bit isn't ironic at all. The Lakers are actually 20th in defensive rebound rate, so attacking the offensive glass against them is a smart plan.

Blair anyone? I think his appearance in the soph/rook game did him wrong, he believes he is an all-star, he played like crap and he could'nt grab a rebound against one of the weaker frontcourts he tries to power rebound everything instead of just grabbing the damn ball!

Thats always his ing problem...he tries to create his own offense too much and either turns it over, or shoots it no matter what. I seriously have hated this years version of Blair (I loved last year's version).

concerned but the sky is not falling on rebounding, Thunder are a very athletic team ala Portland that can grab a lot of boards in streaks. Boston is 19th worst in rebounding and has that really hurt them?

    http://espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/tea...rt/reboundRate

Spurs 11th in rebounding (better than Mavs, Boston and this is despite Duncan playing 26 or so minutes a game.) By NBA stats both Boston and Dallas also worse

The OP stated that this game has a taste of POs, if it was the case yes the sky is falling. Thunder is very athletic but they are no monsters on rebounds and we get our ass kicked. We compensate with a huge 3 pts shooting night. Sky is not falling cauz this game didn't have the intensity of a PO game so I agree with you but this is still a big concern. Look at our game against the Bulls outrebounded us and played good defense result a big loss.

Now Thunder received Perkins, Portland get Wallace, Hornets get Landry, we already had a lot of stuff to do to deal with lakers and mavs big guys and now we have thunder outrebounding us w/o Perkins, portland and hornets with west, okafor, landry...
