You like the Kurt Thomas possibility?

    Absolutely.

I am a little hesitant to trade a starter but KT is the type of player the Suns need. A solid veteran to help on the boards.

I agree, but do you see that as a slight abandoning of the "run and gun" philosphy? Richardson made some big hoops for you last year.

    I don't think so.

With the four remaining starters, Jim Jackson, and KT's jumper the offense should be fine. Richardson was already the fifth option and Amare and Marion can still outrun just about anyone. Key to a running game is a commitment to running for 48 minutes every chance you get. That will not change because Q is gone.

You can't run if you can't get rebounds. Second chance shots were a big problem for the Suns all year.

Richardson provided a lot of toughness and at ude for the Suns last year. I think Thomas will more than make up for what we lost from Q in this area.

Sounds like a good move then, if it happens. Thomas has a great medium jump shot.
