This place is nothing like the days when the Suns coveted what the Spurs always ended up with at their expense, with SunFan spewing regurgitated antagonisms like "Spurs = Boring" and the like and true Suns fans slapping them for the of it.
You can throw the ever annoying MavFan trolls into the mix as well with the true Mav fans doing similar.
We're both 0-fer and know it, but at least then we had a reason to aspire to a crooked number. Perhaps Mav fans still do, but Sarver done pooped the bed too many times for me to trust the cheap bas with my fandom.
I don't live in the area, but I'd like to see the fans protest by not buying tickets or attending games until Sarver agreed to sell the team. Would be hard on the team itself for a bit, but damn he's f'd up things over and over and over...
Haven't watched/attended a Suns game this year in protest.
This Forum only works at a high pitch when we lose, be it one game, or a streak of losing. The haters light and come down from upstairs, "we" defend the realm, and non Spurs & Lakers Fandoms pimp us at their leisure.
It's no good whether Spurs win or lose. They're upstairs dominant.
It's the NBA Forum in name, but, in affective reality it's the Lakers Forum.
It'll be the Clippers Forum next year.

It's bad in both...but even worse in the Spurs forum. I didn't even bother entering the game blog upstairs...and I'm not sure if I will anymore. It's nothing but low functioning gnsf's and the emo trolls who start cutting when the other team takes the lead. I'll probably just post in the blogs down here from now on.
The combination of dim-witted, imbecilic interlopers and cranky, bloated, narcissistic vets is unbearable. It's hard not to just troll all the time.
...that's kinda always how it is. I never saw the point in blogging during a game unless you have a question about the game because this is all it comes down to:

you're usually a gigantic re , but has some truth to it. the nba forum was significantly better when the 2 major fanbases other than spurfan was maverick fan and sun fan.

The NBA Forum is fine. There are still b-ball discussion threads and there's plenty of entertaining trolling. The ty trolls only ruin legit b-ball threads when mentally weak posters are incapable of not responding to them.

Yep. And after Dazed, aka Jeff, was humiliated with KFC smack, Lakerfan dared not tread here in those days. If he did, it was expected of him to know his place and be respectful. Then of course they won the le, which gave them a license to talk and troll.
Otherwise, Lakerfan is useless at talking and being an entertaining troll.
And the Lakers going Back-to-Back was a double whammy of sorts. It not only brought the Lakers to the fore, with their fandom holding forth, but, more acutely it granted in particular on Kobe Bryant. That was killer for many people seeing him get straightened out like that after Daddy, Colorado and the losing years. Absolutely startling for people. They never thought it would happen. Many figured karma would prevent him from ever seeing the light of day again. Having "Bryant" as a reminder every single day on this Forum is very incendiary.
I'm posting more, quit your ing.

No. I'm saying Bryant ringing these last two Finals have incited this Forum's baser instincts. "We" wouldn't be here in this kind of force if he was stuck at 3. "You" would have the con at Duncan (at least): 4, Kobe: 3. And we couldn't do anything about it. And we wouldn't even try. We'd have no foothold, no right to do so. You trail him 5-4, but, there is an intrinsic point that you hold tight to that makes that difference without clarity, you feel en led to protest the 5-4 count.
Every lakerfan besides probably IronMexican will disappear when they're knocked out this year anyway, so it'll be fine.
How about some of you raise the bar and actually talk basketball instead of complaining? Find some balance. My goodness, it's like playing cards with my sisters kids.
DB.COMERS have really brought this place down. Laker fans as well. Spur fans play their part, but they do more good than bad.
I admit I only registered when that Lee kid missed that layup in '09. I didn't start posting until Odom followed in with those three's.
But, now that's I'm fortified with the two I can weather the loss now. + I'll have 28 others joining me. That is my salvation.
