We only lost by 16 with our scrubs playing the 4th quarter after being down 21 at the end of the 1st quarter.
This was a game we could have won, but for that pathetic first quarter...that gives me hope for the future games against the Lakers.
We'll be fine. We're still 5 games ahead of the Mavs with 19 games left to play.
The Spurs weren't mentally there. They seemed bored and uninterested
The games effort felt like that of a spurs vs cave game.
Regular season is one thing, but I see little sign that the Spurs have another level to go to in the playoffs.
What could the Spurs do differently against the Lakers?
We're primarily a jump-shooting team, so it's hard to get their bigs into foul trouble.
As it was pointed out, their length inside means they can run out on our outside shooters.
We can't stop their offensive rebounding.
Yes, we've beaten them twice already (and one win included a freak/lucky game from Blair), but a 7 game series is an entirely different matter.
I doubt we have bad shooting like today. Our spurs were uninterestedout there. We toyed with the Lakers in the first half and that was our downfall for this game
Kobe and crew will shoot themselves in the foot with this one.
