Even if the Spurs drop a few extra games without Duncan, I can't see them losing the number 1 seed. The team will pull together and win a few games that could end up close. However, that said, if they do start dropping games, look for every contender to try to pass them, not just the Lakers.

FYI, FWIW, IIRC, there are no All-SpursTalk awards given for electronic brown nosing, electronic reach arounds, and electronic bobbing of other SpursTalk posters knobs. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

We're not chasing the Spurs. They aren't even a match for us.
Oh I know. We've been coasting all year. PJ told them after that Cavs loss to stop ing around. Then they turned on the lightswitch after the all star break. The boys in P&G won't be denied. With or without HCA.

If you're so confident this will happen, then accept an ELE bet on it. And this is a true ELE, meaning the loser never posts on this site ever again.

Or just show everyone this is fake confidence on your part and refuse the bet.

Racism on the boards? I guess everyone should just PM Kori about peope using the N word. That's how stuff gets fixed nowadays.

    LkrFan must be desperate.
Desperate? For what? We KNOW that the Lakers can win on the road as evidenced by them going into Boston, Dallas, and San Antonio and getting convincing wins. It took some friendly home cooking for the Hype to eke out a 6 point win otherwise we are looking at 12-0 after the all star game.

Besides, I'm just chin checking Spur fans to test their mettle.

Lakers don't need to catch the Spurs ...... just pull a 2001. If the Lakers can be that kick ass road team they've been recently, they can play at the Alamodome, the current facilities, San Antonio High School or the Alamo itself - it won't make a difference.
This is true. I see the capabilities of this team and they could very well go 2001 on the league. After the all star break, they are giving up like 87 ppg. Had they been serious all year (and healthy: remember Bynum missed 24 games to start the season), this would have a historic Laker season in route to #17.

I hear you li'l hommie. I know this thread was made for fun and doesn't really matter. But I will say this, if HCA is achievable for the Lake Show, y'all gonna get beat down that night. No ifs ands or buts about it. If it is not, y'all might win. Why would PJ not want to stick it to your "Uncivilized Town" one last time?

6 losses in a row?? You're ing delusional.
You Spur fans are really believing in your own hype. 57-13 is impressive. But to rely upon role players like Choo Choo Neal and Splitter without TD for significant stretches is asking a bit much, you think? No TD means more minutes for old man Dice (who won't be rested come playoff time like you guys hoped). More pressure will be put on TP and Manu as well to keep the Spur ship afloat.

My thread is very realistic and it frankly scares the out of Spur fans like yourself. Your team was relatively healthy all year. Let's see what you guys are made of when faced with a little adversity. The Lakers are 50-20 with Bynum missing 24 games. Imagine what the Lakers would be had he played those 24 games.

So who really is being delusional? Or should I call it being in denial?
