I miss my noia theme![]()
Sure that cake is safe for FireFox developers to eat?
I miss my noia theme![]()
sucks i dont have screengrab. to capture some of the crazy on this site. at least downthemall still works. this is basically chrome.
If you use windows vista or 7, click your start button and search "snipping tool".
Your welcome!
Chrome + Firefox would be the ultimate browser, so I don't see how this is a bad thing.
Wow.... it looks amazing.
Just downloaded it. I knew something was wrong with the tabs being on the top. I changed it back to the bottom. Although having them on top does look cleaner for some reason.
If you remove the "Menu Bar" it changes it into a single "Firefox" button. Then, with tabs on top, it looks cleaner because it is. It's giving you a lot of extra space in your browser to see the webpage. It really opens everything up, especially on a smaller laptop like my M11x, where real estate is scarce. Great addition by Firefox.
Also, if you remove bookmarks (I don't use many), it REALLY changes the look. Two lines, one for tabs and the other for the awesome bar. Sweeeet.
So far, I'm having no problems with it. Swag to the maximum.
You guys recommend any cool add-ons? Don't know why I never bothered with the addons until now. I'm really liking the Tab Scope add-on though.
Tab Mix Plus
Adblock Plus
Forecast Fox
Video Downloader (forget the actual name, will edit later)
Noscript
... more later
I like the tabs on top
Yup
I also like Search Cloudlet:

Looks pretty slick. The tabs on top will need some getting used to, but I like it.
Watched the "what's new" video and totally laughed at the explanation that the reason behind private browsing was shopping
Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go watch some shop picture...
I don't know about yall but with the Firefox 3.xx I was able to open a new tab pretty easy. But now when I want to open a new tab It always seems to open in a new window instead of tab. I use to be able to open a new tab unconscionably. But now I'm catching my self actually having to look at "open in a new tab". I wonder If in the old browser "open in a new window" above 'open in a new tab" Any one feel the same way?
This is 100% correct. I believe they have swapped the "open new window" and "open new tab" order in FF 4. You have to train yourself to not move the mouse down after right-clicking![]()
ctrl T always works best.
That works well if you just want a new tab. I think he's referring to when you want to open a link in a new tab (e.g. opening this thread in a new tab while keeping Geek Zone tab open).
In this case, you can actually just hold CTRL when you click, which I'm trying to train myself to do. I still prefer the right-click for some odd reason.
Glad I'm not the only one to notice! I was like WTF quit opening in a new window. I know ctrl works but like resistanze said If I want to open more than one thread in then window I use to right click "open in a new tab". I'm going to play around with the ctrl click.
Yeah I'm a right click guy too but using those shortcut keyboard keys would make you so fast. When I was working tech support a few guys were master of the shortcuts and it was pretty impressive to see how fast they operated the computer.
It looks like Mozilla when from doing their Safari thing (in the beginning) to doing their Chrome thing. The tabs on top is just like Chrome. It really doesn't matter to me either way. IE has done the same thing, but in the Microsoft ways, and completely bloated it and made the browser slower than Chrome or Firefox.
I like that you can customize the look up top, like in Chrome. I have the De able Me theme as I like the Minions.
All in all, I like that they streamlined it and made it much faster. It's now my backup browser replacing Safari (which never was as good as the Mac version of course) with IE a distant 4th still.
I've been using it since beta 2 or something... was rocking back then... it's real nice
