I also didn't like the foul call with .9 left. You have to let them play at that point...

Not like the Spurs didn't choke themselves though. These last 2 games have really pissed me off with the way they were lost.

    Seriously...

What do you hope to accomplish when you stick in a shooter with a piss poor assist average, terrible passing skills, who happened to not play the entire night - to make an inbound pass with .9 seconds left!?
Yeah, it's easy to blame Novak here, but that's the cop out. He should've never been put in that situation. Pop bares the blame for that subs ution. Manu and Tony deserve the blame for those brain-dead, late-game turnovers.

BTW, credit the Blazers for thoroughly out-coaching and out-performing us down the stretch. Must be a joyous win. Similarly to our last meeting in which Aldridge went ballistic. For the Blazers, the Spurs are a barrel of laughs. Send in the clowns!
Outcoaching? Really? We were up 4 with the ball and 30 seconds left when both of our All Star guards went into brain lock and turned the ball over. The game is over if Tony doesn't try to ing dribble the ball down the LEFT sideline with his RIGHT ing hand. Then, after the turnovers, Tony attempts to give us a man advantage and POR a tech FT by being the 6th man.

I was disgusted by our guard play late, and Tony's play for most of the game. He constantly over-penetrated, and got trapped into dragging his pivot foot by being too far in the paint and not able to shoot in their forest of trees. Here's a clue Tony: if you don't have a shot, DON'T PICK UP YOUR ING DRIBBLE. Keep going and come out along one of the baselines and try again.

Is it me or do those two star players (Manu and Tony) appear to be pressing, in Timmy's absence?. They seem to be forcing bad plays, making bad decisions and turning the ball over. Besides that, the ball movement on this team isn't crisp.

They definitely are. Also, I am not sure when this developed but it seems Manus only move with time ticking down is that horrible step back jumper. Last night he waited until there was 4 seconds on the shot clock to even start his move. Tony is also taking ill advised 20 ft jumpers down the stretch. They are either seriously gassed at the end of games or it's a lack of focus/want.

At home, this team also plays differently. At home, they willingly share the ball, make the extra pass, and of course the 3-pt shooting is usually sizzling.

On the road, the Big Three (especially TP and Manu) tend to get caught up in winning every possession themselves. I realize that sometimes that is necessary, especially in crucial moments, but they don't appear to share the ball as much, play selfishly, take more ill-advised shots and commit more forced and unforced turnovers. It's almost as though they don't trust the other players on the floor. If there is one player that should've earned enough trust is Gary Neal. All players should look to kick out to him when he's open.

I wonder if it's something Pop has addressed?

It could very much be attributed to Duncans injury. It looks like Manu and Tony are definitely forcing the issue now with him out and are looking to be the man every play which isn't exactly what we need. I just hope Tim gets healthy soon, everything runs and everyone plays so much better/smoother when he is on the court, even if he isn't scoring.
