There aren't really any "good" analysts on any network, tbh..
Van Gundy is a comedy relief, but the guy has had some good takes from time to time. He's good at calling what the next play is going to be and is right a lot of the time. Too bad he talks way too much.

They're all flavor of the month kind... I remember both Barry and Wilbon giving the Lakeshow massive fellatio before the Denver game and during halftime. Two months earlier they couldn't get off the Spurs jockstrap.
Being that they all pretty much blow, I kinda miss Walton. He was just exaggeration after exaggeration and it was comedy.
Jalen Rose takes the cake. Not only are most of his takes bad, but he can't speak like someone who should be on TV. He always seems like he's struggling with every single word he's saying...like he's trying to read a prepared speech, but can't ever quite remember what it was he wrote.
I think the better question is who is the best basketball analyst at EPSN.
Most of them blow ass. Who is actually decent?
Stephen A Smith is horrible and espn is the only place that will hire his dumb stupid ing ass.
i've always hated him, but after he stated that Miami would break the reg. season record for wins, he became a joke.
I thought Steve Kerr did a really great job with the NCAA games- and yeah, I know that was not ESPN.
Except the one time he went overstated in one of the close games...can't remember who it was...might've been a Zona game, too. Anyhow, he did a pretty good job. I didn't really care for Reggie Miller's inclusion. They should have Barkley do more court announcing and less in-studio work. He looked out of place doing the in-studio material.
I like Chris Broussard well enough.
I'm just proud to see so many of the Black Brothers sound intelligent...( like Kobe)
Gary Payton now was one ed up analyst...But we've heard Kobe analyze the game...I don't think we've ever heard Timmy up in the studio analyzing games...Timmy strike me as camera shy... he'd a set up in no time...
You ain't kidding, I thought the guy was going to start bawling - apparently it the worse thing he's ever witnessed in his life.
Not ESPN, but I crack up every damn time I hear Kevin McHale call Ginobili "Mano."
all of these guys suck but it's no surprise that usually the most tolerable ones aren't ex-nba stars.
Two things I found funny about that:
1. Breen would have NO problem with Artest going around kissing his muscles to the crowd
2. Mark Jackson of all people stood up for Kenyon
V, do you think that's really Portman in your loop video, or, do you think that's a stunt double? Do you know for certain?
I'm 100% certain, G. In my heart and soul I know it's her...bunny rabbit in the background and all
That video drives me to distraction. It's like free entertain. I love it.
Poster Trainwreck used to sig a loop video of a guy leg sweeping this hot girl poolside. It was an incredible sequence. Did you ever see that one?
Your's though is my second all time favorite after that one.
How can they talk about the spurs if they never talk about them in the first place?
That gif's a classic. The Portman one would be too if it included this at the end
spoiler alert..
