Spurs should win no matter the rival, but Memphis is a very tough team to beat. They are athletic, good rebounders and i think it will demand the Spurs a good effort.

Hornets without West is the weakest team. Even Manu said it.
Portland is deep and really dangerous..

N.O. would be the best draw in terms of "ensured advancement" IMHO.

    Dont want Portland at all.

I don't want Portland. They are great at home and they can create matchup problems by going small with Wallace at PF.

Both Memphis and New Orleans would be good first round opponents.

New Orleans or Memphis. Either would be better than having to travel to Portland in the first round.

Something I like about this end of the season for Spurs is that they don't have a single game left on the schedule where they could wonder if losing it is the right thing to do.

Meanwhile, it will be interested to see if Blazers, Grizzlies or Hornets will lose on purpose game(s) to get a specific oppoenent.

New Orleans by far. Spurs would absolutely own them in almost all aspects of the game. HCA, better guard play, better frountcourt, better coaching and more experience. Spurs would sweep that series.

Memphis would create alot of problems for the spurs. They are very physcial and have 2 perimiter defenders who are very good at what they do in Battier and Allen. Randolph looks this season to be motivated to prove himself in the league again. Hes been really overlooked this year and has looked beastly. Spurs would proably win out but would go 5 or 6 grueling games and that doesnt bode well for Tim and Manu.
