Which is what Cricket is for Americans. A mysterious snoozefest.

Baseball roots are very, very deep here. The NY Yankees have the largest payroll in the Sportsworld. Yes, ahead of Barca, and Manchester City. In fact, it might be possible the NY Yankees are the most recognized professional team in the entire world. The Far East and Central America are also baseball crazy.
As rich and recognized the NY Yankees might be, i don't get the interest of this sport. I've tried to watch it several times but it's just impossible for me to enjoy anything related to a game of Baseball... Guys throwing balls, guys hitting balls (1 time out of 10), guys running around a field... WTF is that??

For most euros, American football and Baseball are mysteries...

American football is more or less a (very) poor man version of rugby
As for Baseball... argh it's like watching an Inspector Derrick episod

BB has it all and should be the most popular sport in the US
Not enough white people in the NBA tbh.

Baseball is a situational game. Its somewhat like timed chess and football from a play perspective. Things set up a certain way and actual "play" is over a very short time period with decision making in between play taking up most of the time. Basketball and soccer are more alike with continuous play. Situations are constantly evolving with players having to adapt while play is still occuring over a longer time period (think for themselves). Soccer, (football), is very clearly more of a continuous play sport which is why I believe most Americans cant handle it. We need our time outs for commercials to visit the toilet, fart, or eat. And Americans want good play to usually result in a score of some sort, this occurs infrequently in soccer. A good soccer match can involve a 0-0 tie. This does not sit well with someone that has never played and has no idea how difficult the game is. And a tie...? look how much trouble we have gone through to eliminate the tie.

TV and advertisers obviously would much rather have a sport where there is a good deal of time spent between plays. All of the big 3 in the US supply this for TV. The NBA and college basketball of course implement TV timeouts if things get out of hand and the viewer has to watch play (pay attention, aka concentrate) for more than 10 minutes straight. And then of course the constant time outs and fouling at the end of games allows Networks to get all their commercial time in for basketball.

    So...
I would like a grass roots movement to storm the NBA offices with my idea for the regular season/playoffs.

playoffs are too long. roll back the first couple rounds to best of 5 series. only finals should go best of 7.

I want Stern to not with the game any more. He tried a couple of things like the stupid ball change and this year the technical fiasco. Just leave the damn game alone.
i liked it better when they called travelling. too many steps allowed nowadays.

What sucks about the NBA is that the league is not compe ive....point blank. I mean there are really 3-4 teams that really have a chance of winning a championship.

There seems to be a different champion in football every season, and with baseball it seems like there is always a team that goes on a cinderlla run every season. Which is sad since there is no cap.

    Are you serious?
The NBA is unique in its kind since it’s the only compe ion that gathers all the greatest players coming from all over the world.
Baskeball being a worldwild sport (unlike US Football or Baseball), it says a lot about the compe iveness of this league...
