It's random. Otherwise it's profiling based on age, race, team colors.. whatever.

The parents always have the right to not be searched or to be searched in a private area. They are asked that up front. I fly several times a month and have seen many kids searched, I've seen old people in wheel chairs searched as well. They are always asked if they would like a private screening. Those in a hurry say no. These guys seemed prepared to have their kid searched, thus the video.

Huh? I didn't see any groping. The agent handled it well and was very professional, considering it probably seemed absurd to her also. The kid was okay and didn't appear traumatized. I think the only person traumatized was the filmer and maybe the dumb in the background who says "They are doing that drug test on her"

Groped? People today love to blow everything they can out of proportion. That was just the FTA agent doing what they are trained to do. IF people think that children have not been used to smuggle things then I don't know what rock they have been living under.
