    .. i remember him saying that after christmas the spurs won't have the best record and he also said that the spurs are second best team in texas .. the guy is a fool ..

    This. Yall need to stop being so defensive, Barkley always showed the Spurs alot of love during the mid-late 00s while Kenny was always on other team's bandwagon and ESPN had them in their backpage.

    The Spurs style of play has never been successful in the playoffs, high-octane offenses with an average defenses dont usually win les...thats what hes basing it on. Let's hope our defense can step up a notch in the playoffs or else winning #5 will be very difficult and unlikely.

    This was my point. Only a Spurs fan will remember this. If he's right, he'll look smart. If he's wrong, no one will remember. At least Kenny calls him out somewhat. Charles and his empty fingers.

    i don't think it was this thread but i've posted more than once that spur fans were underestimating the grizzlies and overestimating the spurs way too much. looks like the spurs felt the same way. no urgency and lackadaisical execution is dooming them.

    That's why I love barkley. He 'defended' us back when people called spurs boring but at the end SA won 4 rings... Now that Pop decided to change the system he believed the team would fail for the same reasons lots of spurs fans talked about during the season.

    and he's right.
