Dont have any info, but Jeff McDonald (yeah not the best source) put his opinion of him playing at 99% after seeing him in practice the other day. Dont know if anything is changed

even if he plays 25 mins or something I think you play him

who needs to straighten his non-shooting arm? well, the two problems are getting slapped on the arm when trying to attack the basket and on defense ... Manu will be reluctant to reach in, steal balls or slap on the ball with his right arm ... both things lead to Manu not being active which would not be good

perhaps but not many are around the team to see what is going on so its hard to know. Manu and Anderson were going one on one the other day

Giving up already? this board is hilarious
Who said anything about giving up?

I'm just, understandably, less than ecstatic about our leading scorer and "heart" player getting considerably injured on the final game of the season, with a big playoff run looming. For one goddamn year, all I want is a healthy Ginobili in the postseason.

Its soooo disappointing. Once again the question "what if" is looming above our heads. But I still do not blame Pop for that ... this injury also could have happened in the first two minutes of game 1 vs. Memphis.

If Ginobili is hurt as bad as they say, Parker should Man Up and take the team to the second round by himself.
Too bad Parker and Man Up cannot be said in the same sentence.
We shouldn't have to force Ginobili to beat a seventh-eight seed, if we have to, then Ginobili is A LOT more important to this team than Parker and Duncan.

You have to, if hehad played the Lakers game to win, we could have rested Ginobili along with Parker and Duncan for the Phoenix game.

    Thanks for the translation

Honestly I think it'll take an act of God to keep Manu out of Game 2. I'm okay with losing Game 1, it's happened before...But I agree Game 2 is a must win. We can do it, Go Spurs Go!

Nice article. Glad to hear from Manu himself about the situation. Too bad he couldn't have thrown in a "and in regards to Pop playing Bonner over Splitter: Free Tiago!!!"

    Love your handle, too.

The recent comments from Blair, Dice and TP are a bit concerning. It worries me that the players don't believe they can succeed without Manu. They don't give themselves even a chance of winning the series without him. It's almost like a defeatist at ude.

Is their honesty justified or is this a defeatist at ude? Thoughts?

Don't forget if he falls he will need both arms to brace against not crashing hard to the floor. both arms are necessary. If he can't staighten his arm that could effect his overall shooting and will likely effect his aggressiveness at attacking the basket.

I don't care for it. They need to take it upon themselves to step up and make a difference in the game, we can't always look to Manu to be the end-all be-all.

The main thing is to get manu on the court. Don't start him but put him in later.

It will give inspiration to the other players and pump up the crowd. Manu may very well be ineffective on the court but will inspire the team and crowd. That could just be what the Spurs need to get the Game 2 win.

I think they are just being realistic. Manu is the guy that sets this team apart and without him it would be very difficult to even get past the first round.

I don't think they played with a defeatist at ude in Game 1, they just didn't play very smart or execute very well. With or without manu, i expect them to play to the best of their abilities.

I think Ginobili returns tonight and it should give them a spark.

Spurs will win this without Manu. If he can't play then don't play him. If he is 50% out there then it is not worth it. Tell George to man the up.
