Sorry, since Isiah retired from the GM job, I assume no team is stupid enough to take on those contracts...
Sad thing to this Spurs had this chance during this last off-season but they decided to resign them both. TO LONG TERM CONTRACTS NO LESS!!!!![]()

Whether the Spurs win the le or not, they have to address the front-court deficiencies. They need another body in the paint capable of stout post-defense while having the ability to alter shots at the rim.
Teams are using pick-and-rolls to pull Duncan away from the basket and there is no other big-man(Blair, Bonner and sometimes McDyess) who can contest shots at the rim.
I thought Splitter would get the chance be that big-man. After all, this is the guy that Duncan has been waiting for... for FOUR YEARS. It is incredible that a coach who knows his team has glaring front-court weaknesses doesn't play a serviceable 7-foot big-man with pro-basketball experience. But, that is an entirely different discussion.
Take one more shot, because they're not going to have any semblance of a shot for not just the foreseeable future . . . but maybe ever.
They need to package McDyess' partially guaranteed contract, Blair, Anderson and their 1st round pick for a legit second big. If they can get that, stay healthy and not have any of their veterans decline significantly, they should have a shot next season.
there is actually not that much to fix for the roster. but pop really needs to adjust the rotation as per the different styles of the other teams, and trust the new guys. i don't want to talk about matt bonner anymore.
