the 07 defeat was also a match-up nightmare imho. Mavs were clearly the best team of the league all the way through the regular season, and in the first round they encountered a team coached by their former coach. Don Nelson knew this team even better than Avery did maybe, he just knew their achilles tendon and exploited it. Mavs played 4 games vs. Warriors in the regular season that year, they lost 3.

Spurs didn't take em seriously at first, and they got stunned badly the first 4 games (of which they lost 3). they ain't making no mistake the coming 2 games now that they woke up already. Spurs will win this i agree wit ya, spurs in 7
I thought Dallas only played GSW 3 times in '07 (0-3). Could be wrong though.
Yeah, Dallas would've beaten any of the other 14 playoff teams that year, but they unfortunately caught their kryptonite in the 1st round.

If Gary Neal doesn't get more plays drawn up for him, and I don't see 15-20 minutes out of Tiago Splitter, I'm going to throw .

Perhaps the shooters will wake up. If the Spurs win game 6, they'll win game 7.

Game 6 is the main event. If the Spurs win, which is a tall order, Spurs take the series easily.

The Spurs need less Bonner and RJ and more Neal and Splitter.

I'm happy the Spurs showed some life, but Memphis was STILL in great position to win tonight. Hopefully the Spurs take that momentum with them to Memphis because I know Memphis isn't discouraged by the loss.

griz got so close to the 2nd round earlier tonight but nigs blew it away. they'll be punished for omitting the golden chance imho. nigs did a good job anyway, winning 3 games over the #1 seed, especially considering they never won no playoff game the years before.

Yup, my thought was if they struggled to beat them at home, playing in Memphis will not be any easier.

I refuse to believe Spurs will lose to an 8th seed. I'll be satisfied if they spend all of their playoff energy to beat Memphis but lose the second round. I'll be satisfied with that. Not happy but satisfied.

I refused to watch last night, i just couldn't do it after the piss poor game 4. That said, if the Spurs a couple of miracles to beat the griz at home last night...there is no way they win a game 6 in memphis. That would take memphis completely imploading for game 6, and i just dont see that happening. They are on fire right now, not going to just give it up.

Agreed...better to lose in a blowout then suffer a heartbreaker like that--at least if you're a young team. I see the Spurs jumping on them early, possibly a wire-to-wire win. Spurs win the series, then get face-raped by KD
The Spurs match-up very well with OKC. I'm not saying it won't go to game 7, but I just don't think OKC would have what it takes to beat the Spurs, much like the Grizzlies have what it takes, a match-up nightmare,

To be honest, the golden opportunity for Memphis is tomorrow night. All the pressure was on the Spurs, and Memphis was a miracle Neal shot away from advancing in only 5 games.

Memphis will be hungry, feeling pressured, and have their fans behind them. They will respond. How the Spurs respond, especially to the calls and the physicality, will be the difference in the series. Should SA pull out Game 6, I agree the Grizzlies' season is all but over.

The difference is that I based my prediction on an analysis of the games. You based your prediction on the fact that you're a Spurs ball licking homer who expected his team to go 82-0 this season.

The Spurs will win, because 200 years ago a guy was down big in a game, not sure which game, but he came back and won. Therefore the Spurs will win.
