    ...still stands..

since 2000....the lakers have won the most....period

last time i checked, it was 5.....and managed to defend le (s)(plural)

I'll take all the crap that came with it in between, the blowouts, the sweeps, the internal crap...all, all for the bragging right of calling them the dynasty of the 00's.

The Lakers and Spurs pretty much dominated the decade of the 2000s...but it looks like that era is fast coming to a close. It was fun while it lasted, though.

Two of those years neither of our teams won the le, so it's rather irrelevant.

2001/2002 we got rapedPERIOD. Not even going to defend that (our team outside of Tim was pretty damn old and washed up though). But don't forget the league gifted the Lakers that series versus the Kings. Only LA fans think they won that fair and squre.

2004: Lakers get massively owned with 4 all-time greats
    2008: lol game 6

I can play this game all day bro.
really? you think you can play a game all day comparing accomplishments of the Lakers vs the Spurs? ok buddy.

And there's nothing wrong with that. You guys have your way, personally I like the story of the small market with the quiet superstar winning 4 les while staying a serious le contender for 10+ years with no periods of mediocrity in between. And if it wasn't for a stupid foul we may have that 5th le, so I can't say they were never in a great position to win a 5th. All in all, the massive franchise that had 11 les prior to the decade now has 16 and the small franchise that had 0 has 4, and it's all good.

Spurs and Lakers fans like to throw on each other but the truth is there is a youth movement going on in the NBA. It's the changing of the guard. Both teams need to retool or else they're going to get left

We're talking about the recent "Laker Dynasty." So throw the Showtime Lakers out of the equation and don't even bring up the 5 les in Minneapolis.

    ^ this

It's obvious that the torch is being passed to a new generation in the NBA. The next decade is wide open, IMHO.

    I agree

Spurs, for all intent and purposes should have had at least 5, I'll give you that..maybe even 6 tbh....

Well, the Spurs were a miracle .4 shot and a stupid foul away from a possible 5-peat, so yeah...but 4 in 9 seasons is still damn good, especially for a small-market team like the Spurs. I can't complain.

    agree.

when it's all said and done, the spurs accomplished in 10 years what most teams in the NBA have never even smelled.

    - good FO
    - HOF coach
    - ability to make somehting out of nothing

at the end of the day, Spurs are cream that rises to the top, even if I can't stand your team.........its' all good

partly correct. 3 peat Shaq team was a dynasty.

    that was over in 03.

    again

going through Utah, Houston, Denver and Orlando makes them a dynasty???

    jazz,rockets,nugz,magic
    48,53,54,59 = 214

    kings,suns,blazers,indiana
    44,53,59,56 = 212
    blazers,kings,spurs,76ers
    50,55,58,56 = 219
    blazers,spurs,kings,nets
    49,58,61,52 = 220

Roughly about the same number of season wins from opponents in playoff runs. Actually the run your talking about has the highest win total opponent in the finals than any of the 3 Shaq era championships.

    Nice try.

You know it sucks when two teams should both be embarrassed...36 and 8= an end to TWO eras.
