    And Wade has been very good on defense this year. Miami's defense isn't stifling because of Joel Alexander and Chris Bosh, I know that.

    not only does Kobe not deserve this, but he is arguably not even an average defender anymore..

    He literally never defends the other team's best player..he's constantly getting torched by guys like Battier and other offensive scrubs, because he leaves them wide open all game long..he doesn't get steals or block shots at a high rate..

    What exactly does he do on D?..

    To put things in perspective..the Lakers D had a defensive rating of 105 when Kobe was on the floor..when he was off, they had a rating of 100..LA's D was 5 points worse when Kobe was on the floor..not only is that a ty rating, but it's also the worst rating of any Lakers player, this season..amazing..

    NBA head coaches choose the All-defensive team with no voting for your own player. Max votes=29. IIRC you get 2 points for a first team vote and 1 for a second, so max total is 58.

    The Heat are so good defensively mostly becuse of Lebron and Wade, not only they lock you up on the perimeter they're also a presence inside. They make players change a lot of shots coming to block from the weak side.

    BTW, Noah making it is also a horrible pick..he's extremely overrated, and he has no business being on an All-NBA D team for this season..

    Deng, Ronnie Brewer > Noah, defensively..

    It should have been..

    G Tony Allen
    G Andre Iggy
    F King James
    F Kevin Garnett
    C Dwight Howard

    G Dwyane Wade
    G Ronnie Brewer
    F Luol Deng
    F Josh Smith
    C Tyson Chandler

    I can see arguments for Chris Paul, Nene, Kyle Lowry, Chuck Hayes, Bynum, Bogut, Duncan and Aldridge, too..
